Posting videos of daft cars on Instagram whilst his new gaffer gives his first presser. Albeit he probably won’t play under him ange, it still shows his level of interest.

I don’t get why it’d be a bad thing that? If the players are relying on the same communication from a manager that the fans get we’re in real * trouble. Players should know everything he wants to achieve and everything he’s going to say before we do and in much greater detail.

I see where you’re coming from but Ange said in the press conference that he hadn’t spoken to him yet so would have expected a star player to want to at least tune in for the presser.

I’d expect a manager to tune in with a star player first thing, he’s talked to Griffiths but no Eddy? Madness man. That’s worrying.

Apparently so mate, I’m sure he mentioned not speaking to ajer yet either. Said they’ve just arrived back in the country so hasn’t had a chance yet.

He managed to talk to Griffiths in another country. He’s defo been told to marginilise them, no other reason not to talk to two of our best players and biggest assests.

Signs aren’t good for him being his own man just now.

I doubt that he's been told to marginalise them. He'll have been told they want to leave and he probably thinks they will leave so why should he run after guys that are half out the door?

He needs to talk with guys that will be here for him. We are not going to let any of the ones on their last year run down their contract surely.

So he’s been told they’re leaving. As a manager you talk to the team and star players who are leaving are part of that, I’d be asking them what’s happening happy to let you go but finding out why and what you can do. Somecunt like Rodgers even though he’s a weasel would be trying to get them to sign a new deal fs.

It’s just a worrying wee trend so far, Strachan and Kennedy his coaches, linked to the likes of Sviatchenko and not picked up the phone to the guys he’d have been told is going.

I want him to be his own man and it should be that from the minute he’s through the door.

They probably have made it clear they are leaving. They wanted to leave last summer and weren't allowed it's clear to me they either leave now for a fee or leave next season for free.

I don't want them for another season as has already been proven players don't give 100% in their last year for fear of injury etc.

Let them go and bring in guys that want to be here and fight for their place.

I’d still expect any manager to find that out for themselves.

He will know the history & intent of the both players & whether he talks to them today or tomorrow I don't see much changing. He will need to prioritize all the tasks in front of decide the degree of importance. History tells us that he is his own man & I don't see him changing at Celtic.

Agree 100%. Once a player has said he wants to go the team needs to get him gone. There is no percentage in keeping him for another season as I'm sure he will never re-sign. Cash in & buy a player with desire.

New Parkhead boss Ange Postecoglou is refusing to give up on keeping Odsonne Edouard at Celtic.

The Hoops gaffer has revealed he’s set to hold talks with the French striker about His future

With just a year left on his current deal, it’s been widely accepted that Celtic will look to cash in on Edouard, with the likes of Leicester City keen to snap him up.

However, former club PSG are reportedly due 40 per cent of any potential fee Celtic receive for the 23-year-old

And Postecoglou hasn’t ruled out the prospect of persuading Edouard to stay in Glasgow, as he bids to wrestle the Premiership title back off Rangers.

The likes of Kristoffer Ajer - the subject of two rejected £10 million bids from Norwich and Bayer Leverkusen - and Ryan Christie have also been linked with moves away from Celtic.

Scotland ace Christie has just six months left on his Parkhead contract.

But new gaffer Postecoglou has urged any player who is thinking about a sharp exit – not to make any rash decisions.

When asked if he was refusing to rule out keeping Edouard and Ajer, he said: “Why should I when I’ve not had that discussion with them?

“I’ll make those decisions myself based on what I see and assess.

“I have a multitude of people giving me advice and opinions. But I’m the one responsible.

“I’ll have those discussions with the players and make sure the club’s interests are protected.

“Do I have to make a quick decision on Edouard? Again, it’ll be a two-way conversation. It’s not just about me and what I desire.

“Whether it’s Edoaurd or whoever, my feeling is that whatever dreams or aspirations they may have, I think they can accomplish them here at Celtic.

Hopefully, they see some synergy there and they want to be involved.

“Because whoever does choose to stay, I want to guarantee them that they’ll be part of something special.

“And maybe they should think about it before leaving. Because once you go out the door, it’s very hard to get back in.

“I will do what’s best for the club. If that means players depart, they’ll depart. If it means they stay, they stay.

“But I won’t let anyone use the club as a vehicle for their own purposes.

“When the time comes for it to end, as it will for all of us, hopefully we leave some sort of legacy.

“But I won’t let anyone, player or staff, to serve themselves and put their personal interests ahead.

“So yes, there are discussions I will have with players over the coming weeks.

“But I can assure you that whoever does stay will be committed to this club.”

We should definitely cash in on him. Hearts not in it and should go elsewhere.

Lost a bit of my respect with last season's underperforming but still did well for us in his time here.

He can have as many conversations as he wants with Ajer & Edouard but let's be honest, those boys are out the door !
They both are ambitious & Celtic & the SFA can not fulfil those ambitions. The trick is to get some money back from both of them and re-invest quickly. Dragging out the sale for those two does not help the club. Celtic deciding that they will show who has the biggest * by playing hardball is detrimental in the long run.
