Horror tackle on him today but he's not interested in any of the physical side of the game. Unlucky to hit the post with a cracking effort. Can see him being a kind of samaras figure as you know he has bags of ability.

Disagree, thought the Title clincher against the Manks showed how powerful he is on and off the ball. He bullied the currants.

Relieved to hear that it’s only a dead leg.

How did McKenna stay on the pitch?!? A blatant red card

    I hope he’s ok

Definite shades of Sammy in there. Hopefully he can be more consistent than that.

Can’t see it. Base Ntcham on the same period and you could say the same thing. When things settle down he’ll show his qualities.

desperately needs a partner either a big target man to play off or hold things up for him, or a classy No 10 to give him the service he needs. We could also go route one a bit more to give him something different as well as getting the ball wide quicker and firing it across for the big man. At the moment he is up against at least 3 defenders as most teams park the bus against us and he suffers as space is limited. He has all the ability but needs support and I am sure when we start firing again he will shine

The guy kept Mbappe out of the French u19 team. He will be much better than Samaras.

ODSONNE Edouard has been included on the 40-man shortlist for the prestigious Golden Boy Award. The annual award, which was established in 2003 by Italian newspaper, Tuttosport, honours European’s best young footballer, and the 20-year-old Celtic striker has been included in the list, with the winner announced in December.

Other nominees include the current holder of the award, and Edouard’s fellow countryman, Kylian Mbappe, while Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Everton’s Tom Davies, Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot, and Phil Foden, the Manchester City midfielder, are also on the list of 40 players.

Odsonne Edouard spent last season on loan with Celtic, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances, including a goal on his debut against Hamilton Accies and a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Motherwell.

He also scored the winning goal in a dramatic 3-2 win over Rangers at Ibrox, coming off the bench and helping a 10-man Celtic team take all three points. And he followed that up with two goals in a 5-0 demolition derby win on the day Brendan Rodgers’ side secured the title.

In the summer, the highly-rated French striker made the move to Celtic a permanent one, and he has scored four goals so far this season, including a double in a 3-1 win over Rosenborg back in July.

Rodgers, however, had better news on striker Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman limped out of last weekend’s Premiership win over Aberdeen following a heavy tackle from Dons defender Scott McKenna.

But Rodgers said: “I’d expected him to be back. It was only a dead leg. He’s moving on in training, so that’s been good.”

Rodgers, meanwhile, refused to condemn the Pittodrie defender, who was a Celtic signing target during the last window, for the tackle.

Referee Bobby Madden took no action at the time, but SFA chiefs last night dished out a Notice of Complaint to the Reds centre-back.

Rodgers said: “I just think at the time it looked a reckless challenge. He’s a big honest boy. He plays strong and aggressive and hard.

“But that one there was reckless challenge. I felt it was a booking at the time.

“I’ll leave the authorities will deal with it.

“It looked pretty clear to me at the time, but, maybe Bobby had a player in front of him and wasn’t able to see it properly. Sometimes it’s just the speed of it also.

“You’ve got to give them the benefit of doubt as well. The game happened so fast.

“If you look at the challenge, we’re okay, we can see it.

“But if he doesn’t see it at the time then you have to accept that.

“But the authorities have obviously looked at it and deemed it not to be a good challenge
