Good news on CCV nearing a return as he makes such a difference, also Nawrocki sounds like a player, excited to see what Yang can bring and I feel Holm is one for the future but feel a bit meh about the other two, hoping to be proven wrong.

To me that is a worse position to be in than what we ended last season with or at best on par.

Playing a Rodgers system the full backs lack real attacking threat, although I do think Ralston will be better as a traditional full back than an inverted one, the midfield just feels like it needs something a bit different unless Iwata steps up or O’Riley bursts back into top form like the end of his first season and I worry about the wings, Abada has looked great so far out wide but he really needs a dribbler on the other wing or our attack ends up being 3 guys who don’t really want the ball to feet against a packed defence.

A decent draw in the league cup means August has the trip to Aberdeen which will be a challenge but then two home league games and a league cup second round tie with a week in between games.

However if you think back to last year we brought in Mooy and Haksabanovic who both basically took to November to get going really, I don’t want us to be in that position again.

 

Wi Nawrocki being done now. Anyone else in needs to be a first team started for sure. Proper quality additions. With Ross County round the corner I would hope 1 of the following GK, LB, CM, LW is sorted.

Still plenty work to be done and the goodwill is being burnt through quickly now. Step it up Celtic.

 

Hopefully GK, LB, CM and LW will be sorted before deadline.

If we can sort those four positions out, we'll be in a really strong position. I'm not as fussed about the midfield (although still think we lack real power/athleticism) but LW/LB/GK are all concerns for me and I'd be disappointed if they weren't addressed this window.

 

Think as a squad we are taking shape now its just those couple of players we need now that would have helped turn draws into wins in the CL last season. Fingers crossed we are on it.

I get we need to clear out some of the deadwood but we need real first team quality players to come in also.

I believe Rocky will add this to the defence but we need someone in the Jota mould and it’s absolutely vital we sign a player like him who can score in the big games and create a moment of magic out of nothing.

 

I imagine if we get a keeper in then that will be near the end of the window. I still think too much too late.
I know the young guys that have come in could be great but they could all struggle under the pressure too.

Siegrist (If we get a new keeper and Hart becomes the backup)

The chances of managing to get rid of all of them is pretty slim, but even getting rid of 4 of them would be good to slimline the squad and make room for a few signings we need to strengthen us.

I'd be delighted if we could pull something like that off -- won't hold my breath, but it would make us incredibly strong.

 

Now need to sign some first team ready players and trim the fat from the squad.

Happy enough with the players we’ve signed but, maybe Nawrocki aside, none really look like they’ll be able to walk straight into the starting team.

Looks excellent on paper. 1 or 2 more signings now and that will be that I feel.

 

Although those signings are unlikely we definitely need more than 1 or 2..

GK, LB, D/CM, LW and ideally another CB who can cover RB..

 

I agree mate but I just think the squad looks bloated and we won't run with 28 first team players getting all those in, we do have interest in a few as I have said but whether in terms of sales that comes to anything will remain to be seen.

 

I'm expecting (hoping) proper movement after the Wolves game until the end of the window. We still need 3 or 4 quality additions.

I'll be * off if we don't start showing some ambition.

 

Daizen will play through middle brendan has said this, left wing is very weak looking. I would hope for 8-10 departures closer to end of window from what you have posted here
