Its weird. I always forget about Haksabanovic. I seen a young kid the other day with the hoops on and Haksabanovic on the back. I was like "oh aye...forgot about him". I always seem to forget about him.

I still think he's got a lot to offer. There's definitely a player in there. Only slight criticism is he's a wee bit slow to be a winger I think

 

Hacksabanovic shouldn't be getting gametime on the left.. nowhere near good enough.

A quality winger should be a priority.

 

I agree. Couple of decent sub appearances against tiring teams but when given a start he hasn't done enough.

Keito Nakamura would be a massive upgrade if there was any truth in that rumour.

Have tried the ‘be patient, there’s still plenty time’ approach but getting mildly concerned now.

We haven’t strengthened key areas of the team.

Nawrocki will strengthen the back line based on what we’ve seen of him but GK and LB still need improved. I rate Taylor and think he’s improved so much but looking at it objectively, we need someone more athletic in there like a KT type.

Central midfield is probably a strength of ours but the technical players we have need some assistance when it comes to physical games - CL, derbies, diet Huns away etc

Yan may well be Jota 2.0 but we don’t have to gamble on him hitting the ground running. With Tilio out injured and Forrest coming end of his career, there’s scope for another wide player to come in.

Irrespective of Europe, the goal should always be to strengthen your starting 11 especially when you’re selling your best asset for £25m and automatically banked £30m+ in Euro money.

Would be a huge gamble to go into this season without signing any experience. We need to get the balance between projects and experienced signings right.

I'm pretty sure Rodgers said he sees Maeda as a ST more-so than a winger.

Add to the fact that Tilio is out for another 1.5 months it leaves us quite light on the wings, 3 proper wingers in Abada, Maeda and Jun. Forrest is done and Haksabanovic isn't a winger.

We will 100% get another winger, we won't get another 2 wingers, but we'll get one. It'll either be our next big signing or the one after (Either GK or Winger will be next)

Can call for patience all we like, but league starts in 2 weeks and our starting 11 is weaker now than what the season ended with. No escaping that. No other decent or credible links to any other players is now worrying. CM and LB need sorted ASAP for any decent run in Europe.

 

Bringing KT back will complete the backline. He can also cover as CB too if we are short. So I'd happy get Kobi and Bernabei out on loan.

We are well stacked in CM, but still feel thats where Brendan wants more power and running ability in there. So I feel one will be moved on. I can see it being Turnbull.

Hasksa is a player i can see sacrificed from our European squad potentially. I don't think he will be played on the wing due to his lack of pace, so by bringing in another centre midfielder might see him squeezed out.

But we deffo need a left winger, especially because Maeda could be seen primarily as a striker next season.

So in all I hope for potentially another 4 or 5 signings, but I expect 10 or more out the door, but if the top calibre of them players are:

Siegrist
Kobayashi
Bernabei
Turnbull
Haksabanovic

Then we will certainly come out of this window stronger.

 

I honestly don't think we will, or assume we already have.

This window has been a * * show, with zero forward planning apparent, 2 weeks away from the kick off.

If we do buy a new Winger, highly expect it to be a Laxalt type signing as a last ditch.

Nope, with his and his agent’s behaviour * us around last year, they can go get *. He’ll be the first player to down tools if he doesn’t get his move away on a lowball offer, or sit on his fat contract just like Ajeti.

He’s a recipe for disaster for us.
