Really don’t get that kind of opinion, the Huns have brought in many new additions while we as usual have stood still so far, not only just stood still, lost a key player and haven’t replaced him.

We've lost a key player and a regular starter who had a great level of contribution.

But yes. I'm totally on your side. This window has been frustrating enough without ppl telling us to "calm doon" and how pish Sevco are.

Imo, that's EXACTLY the attitude that Sevco fans have every year. We're pish, we're signing pish, and the they have a stronger squad. That type of complacent thinking usually comes back to bite them on the * come May.

No offence mate, but ppl have been saying that for month now.

Next week, next Monday, after Portugal, after Japan, after July...

Obviously I hope you're right. But the evidence thus far in this window is that we haven't got our * together in anyway shape or form, crossing off names on a previous development target list isn't gonna save us from being hoofed in the CL.

Think the problem Celtic have is we are going for players who have many clubs after them and they are weighing up their options.
But we really need to get a move on with the league starting in 2 weeks and hoping we get a centre half and even a new keeper by the Ross county game .

Was actually talking about this last nite, there is always at least a couple of teams (usually ones with more money or in better leagues) in for players we want.

Wheras the huns, continually low ball clubs and take over a month to get deals done as the go back in with slightly increased offers each week until the club finally accept as they have no choice due to fact that no * else wants them.

For me it shows that we are in for far better players that are in high demand while they continue to scrap the barrel for dregs.

I'd buy that if we were actually being linked with players.

The two that had ppl on tenderhooks ; Rodgers denied even knowing of.

Look at the big pole for example. Our interest was registered, leaked, reported on, poles boss speaks about it.
The 4 we signed also. Media knew all about our offers.

Its just how transfer business works. Leaks invariably come from the team receiving the offer.

In terms of actual, non rumoured links, verified by reputable outlets, there's been sweet * all with the exception of the pole... Who we are being assured isn't a knee * reaction, but funny we shift 6 goals then pull the trigger on a CB.

Sutton has now written his SECOND piece telling fans to calm it, then asking the obvious question of what the actual * is happening. Two pieces in 3 weeks from Sutton, asking the same * questions most of us are spells it all out for me. Nearly identical in content, telling folk not to panic, but clearly concerned by the lack of apparent movement.

We're seriously * around here, and needs addressed asap.

Well said mate. The way Juco James speaks is like listening to boardroom chat. Driven by figures/data only and no room for anything else. Like I said, so negative. Dunno why he bothers, he doesn't appear to get any enjoyment from watching Celtic at all.

Like listening to Alan Morrison. He comes across well with his analysis.

3 more first team ready players once
Aye Juco James is pure business talk, you can tell he comes from a background like that. Agreed on Alan Morrison, always liked him.

I'd like to see some more deals go through but I don't think a lack of progress means we're * about.

We've had a change in manager to a guy that doesn't necessarily know the market we were previously plumbing and also won't necessarily want the team to set up and play in the same way. There were probably established targets that were progressed enough to go through, but it wouldn't be a total surprise if we went back to the drawing board in terms of the types of players we're looking at.

Players coming in are often fairly dependent upon players going out as well. We have a big squad and we've not had many of the bit-part players leave so far. It could be the board are unwilling to seriously spend until we shift the dead weight and that's probably fair enough given we've acquired a fair bit of it. Also, bear in mind you tend to focus on areas where you expect important players to leave. Abada is still here and Jota is away, which might have changed our thinking about where we needed to strengthen on the wings, for example.

I also want to see a proper signing for the first team but bear in mind we don't play Rangers til September and won't play a CL game til mid-September. We've still got time to add players and blood them in throughout August before we meet any real challenges.

Exactly. Doubt we'll be playing inverted full backs etc meaning previously bad performing players may look great in the new system vise versa. It was always going to be a bit slower this time.

We've got 4 players in (assuming the korean lads paperwork doesn't randomly fall through) and looks like the CB from Legia is happening and we only heard about him a couple of days ago, so that's 5, and we'll still be looking at players the rags haven't had a sniff of. Hardly standing still.

The huns have scrambled to get players in to have a team together for the qualifiers, but I don't know why suddenly people equate early business with good business when some of our best signings the last few years have been near the end of the window.

The conspiracy theorists will say the last two years when Ang was there we got our transfer business done quick and no Peter lawwell there but with him back in the building as chairman the transfer business has went back to the usual when he was there .
    Hey its only a theory

Well, we've got the CB that's much needed..

I'll reserve judgement on the window when our business is done..

Maybe we are just taking more time to make sure we get the right player?

We know how much of a roulette the transfer market is and we also know first hand how rushing into a deal or taking your second or third choice target can seriously backfire

I'd rather it takes a bit longer (if we get our targets that is) if it means the players suit us.

If we can get proper quality in at GL, LB and LW then we’ll be looking much stronger.

    GK
    Johnston CCV Starfelt LB
    McGregor
    O’Riley Hatate
    Abada Kyogo LW

Hopefully Nawrocki impresses and can partner CCV. Maeda looks on fire. Got the Korean players who look promising as well.

Wonder if we’ll see a front 2 quite regularly. Kyogo and Maeda as a two would be frightening for defences.

Why? We are still a fair way off where we need to be. What we have in now is the absolute bare minimum we should expect.

This plus a proper 10 to challenge O'Riley and I'll be really happy with the squad.
