I think we’re still miles off it in this Window.

Manager wanted proven quality, experience, aggression and players with dynamism and power and pace. Can we honestly say that’s been delivered?

It would be a literal miracle if we bring in 3 first team starters tomorrow and that’s what we need at this point.

Aye its still been an underwhelming window. If I consider what I thought we were going to do at the start, till now. Its hard to make the argument that we are coming out of this window stronger. As it stands.

The Hoops will take on Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid and Lazio in the group stage after avoiding some of the heavy hitters such as Man City, Real Madrid and PSG. Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to tool up further with Portugal playmaker Paulo Bernardo’s loan switch from Benfica to be confirmed on the back of Liverpool centre back Nat Phillips arriving last night, on a deal initially until January.

The Irishman is also chasing a left back and Ryan Bertrand – who has left Leicester – is an option while the club are also assessing strikers going into the final few hours of the window. They are also determined to hold on to their main men – and knocked back a second £10m bid from Leeds United for Matt O’Riley. The English Championship side were told the attacking midfielder is not for sale during this window.

"The Hoops have a busy night ahead of them tomorrow potentially.
Celtic have a new left-back and striker on their mind as the transfer window slowly creaks shut.

The summer market is still wide open with just over 24 hours to go until signings are no longer available to clubs. Brendan Rodgers' Hoops have had an indifferent window so far, it can be said, with some decent recruits arriving in Maik Nawrocki and Yang while others - Kwon and Marco Tillio, for example - are yet to be tested.

Benfica midfielder Paulo Bernardo is closing in on a season-long loan after undergoing a medical with a future fee being negotiated between the two clubs. It will be a similar deal to the one done previously for Jota before he moved to Saudi for £25million.

A striker has been on the list for strengthening that spot with Kyogo the number one and Oh his only deputy. Football Scotland understands the link to Bologna's Sydney van Hooijdonk WAS a legitimate early option but not one that ever made it past the initial flagging phase.

Fans have been crying out for a goalkeeper but as it stands, Football Scotland understands that will now not happen as Ben Siegrist is set to remain at the club. He had been seeking a loan exit but there were no viable options for the Swiss.

Left-back is another position Celts considered adding to and Ryan Bertrand was, according to the Daily Record, offered to the Hoops. Again, that has gone no further, we believe.

On the way out is Albian Ajeti and Ismaila Soro while Sead Haksabanovic is in talks with PAOK about a permanent deal.

Stoke City were reportedly hoping to hijack that move."

Think it's pretty clear we aren't targeting a keeper, unless 1 leaves.

Of course Van Hoijdonk didn't get past the flagging stage.

    It.makes too much sense.

4 1st team players were required at end of last season to help us push on in europe. A Gk, Lb, Cb, CDM.

We got 1 out of the 4 and he's injured for 2 months.

We then had to replace what left. We've barley done that. The 3 that have came in are all a downgrade on those that left.

It's been an absolute * shocker of a window

The thing that annoys me the most about GK is Siegrist being the guy stopping us bringing one in.

Hart needed replaced, so we bring in a GK to replace him, that shouldn't be dependent on our second choice not leaving.

A LB and ST will bring this window up to a 6/10 for me, with it potentially going higher based on how the signings progress, just disappointing overall from Celtic.

It won’t be until the first Champions League match that the penny drops for everyone just how important the new keeper was this Window. Even with all the other things happening such as losing 5 centre halves for differing reasons.

There better be a left back signed by tomorrow night. One that isn’t Ryan * Bertrand either.

We have taken approx £26m in if you take the jota benfica cut into account and spent £20m so in theory £6m up and not touched a penny we had in bank, cash at bank come December could reach £80m doesn't make sense @Foley1888

I seriously doubt there will be.

If we wanted 1 it wouldnt have taken this long to find someone better than Taylor and Bernabei.

It's a bit like gk situation. Everyone can see it needs upgraded but the lack of urgency suggests the club feel otherwise.
