Not Actually that Crucial a Summer as of August 2023...beginning to now think everything isnt fine!

As far as I'm concerned Europe doesn't exist.

While Ange was here I was busting to see what progress we might make. Brand new players , first year in the CL they would've felt hard done by.

Then he left and Rogers was announced, no matter how disappointed, I said, mibbe oul Brendy can get a result or two , a la Man City.

Then this window happened.

I'm not watching a single minute. Seriously.
I'm not staying up all night to watch us challenge Sevco for the worst CL team of all time title. It's now getting to stage I hope the * they get it too, so we'll have competition for it.

Was complaining to my oul one on the phone earlier. He said "son, a watched pot never boils. We"ll get them in".

"This isn't a watched pot Da", says I. "This is a * chip pan that's caught fire and your standing in your front garden waiting on the fire brigade with your hands on your head".

 

6 weeks since 1st pre season game in Japan and 8 full games later and Greg Taylor is still our only credible option at left back.

An absolute * disgrace of a position to be in at this stage of the season.

It was a priority position before the summer, was only heightened by change of manager and style of play and you just know that the best we are gonna get now is some * loan deal for some * who's 3rd choice for a prem team.

 

He had no choice but to come here if he wanted to repair his reputation after the Leicester failure. DD laid out the conditions, and he accepted, hoping to romp the league twice and return down south.

 

Serious question and after some views and not after an argument as cba but people with season tickets will you be paying the probably minimum £150 for the champions league match package?

Personally I can't justify it at this time. The ambition by the board (at this point) is not there and they don't seem fussed with Europe.

 

I don’t think it’s that we don’t intend on showing ambition, just that we have no clue what the * we want to do and have a disjointed and incompetent recruitment hierarchy.

Have praised Nicholson previously but this window has been a disaster. We’re seriously risking not winning the league (and hence not being in the revamped UCL) by not signing players to fit Rodgers philosophy. It’s clear as day that you can’t use Greg Taylor or Daizen Maeda the same way that Ange did.

An absolute farse. The key positions from the start of the window (LB, GK, LW/RW) haven’t been addressed. Instead, we sold our best player and replaced him with two prospects who may turn out to be as good eventually, but are much different from Jota and weaken our team.

Have been very patient so far but struggling to see how we can rescue this window. The lack of credible links to players worries me.

Winning the league here again when he's already got a couple of trebles under his belt will do nothing for his reputation down south, there will be more than a couple of EPL jobs opening up over the course of the season and he could easily have just taken a bit of time off and threw his hat in the ring for those, you keep trying to paint it like he's had to come to us and desperately beg for a job, it's nonsense.

 

Whichever of you go to the next AGM ask all these questions why this is the state of the recruitment policy ...

On another note this flight chaos is going to screw up any chance of anymore signings this week...or provide a convenient excuse to why things didn't happen in the final week of the window...

 

There’s a lot who buy Sts just for the option to buy European ticket packages…. some will not bother , some will buy and sell on any they won’t use..

…. But there are always those willing to buy if somebody else won’t. Unfortunately… I can’t see any tarped over seating areas this time round despite the supposed CoL crisis… as a proper mass opt-out would maybe send some sort of message.

One thing Celtic plc are experts at.. is playing the supporters just the right way to keep them onside and hoping for success just enough to to keep the cash flowing in their direction… without too much of it flowing out again.

 

They are all master-tacticians at fobbing off actual relevant and pointed questions with guff about museums, hotels and turnover…

… if that fails they accuse the questioner of having unreasonable expectations and those expectations being counter the philosophy of the club.

 

Not really, plenty of signings happen long distance at the end of the window, contracts sent by email or fax, doesn't all have to be done in person.

This place will be absolutely toxic when we get our arses drilled at Ibrox, and rightly so.

Unforgivable for a club of our size to be in this position.

 

Unfortunately, it looks like the board's main priority is the bank balance once again and they don't give a flying * that some supporters really struggle to pay for their ST. They know the majority of fans will just accept the way the board treats them however, they can only take those fans goodwill so far before even the most faithful of them will start to ask questions. The grumbles we heard on Saturday will only increase if the board don't act now to sort out the mess we are in

 

With each day passing my panty wetting from a month ago is more and more vindicated.

I've been concerned for a long time but even I thought we'd have done some more business by now. At least a LB and a GK.

It's a disgrace that we're still 5 signings short with only a couple of days left. Absolutely scunnered.

 

Yep mate.. . In and about 2780 minutes to go.. loads of time to sign 4 or 5 players and shift about 6

 

Your right it will be but the toxic behaviour should be getting directed 1 placw and one place only. The board.

They have took the utter * out of us long enough this has to be the last season they get away with it.

 

Trying so hard to stay off here for my mental health, but here I am...

2 things I can think of:
1) The rancid huns are right and we are preparing ourselves to have to pay out massive sums re the boys club test case. They are desperate over there for this to be true. Would you trust Scottish lawyers to be impartial??
2) We are waiting to see if Sevco qualify for the CL. Even if this is the case, leaving it this late is beyond a disgrace.

I suppose there is a third option - Ange was a 1 man club and the only reason anything got done. Everybody else is UTTERLY clueless and don't have a * clue.

 

What a * embarrassment caving in to these hun *. Honestly cannot wait to come in here of we get a result to rub it in to all you * bags. Disgrace.
