Not Actually that Crucial a Summer as of August 2023...beginning to now think everything isnt fine!

Another day gone and nothing. Have to really wonder what goes on behind closed doors. Shambolic.

 

Male, pale and stale is the best way to describe the Board. No new ideas or fresh way of thinking, just a bunch of nodding dogs. They will point to the incredible success of the last decade as proof that their strategy is a winning one. But the fans really want to push on in Europe and we show zero ambition on that level. No new thinking just aim to be better than themmuns. But just about mind.

 

BBC wrote this morning they'll pay his whole wage plus loan fee. £7m all together for one season without option to buy. Also why they think he'll be first pick LB.

 

Fingers crossed, would certainly give everyone a lift.

You’d think after Saturdays shitshow we would’ve heard some names by now, been over 48hrs ffs! Only thing that’s happened has been a done deal getting delayed

 

Absolute * hour that Palma isn’t even done yet never mind the other 4 players we need in

 

Sorry, but I know enough about that side of football, that its practically 99% mobile phone buisiness. Maybe the paperwork after gets done by email. But the contacts/agents etc thats not via email. agents wanting their player in/out hound the responsible person literally till its done. I am very much frustrated about the way its going, but this email stuff is just not very believeable.

I know transfer fees paid for players isn’t a good indicator of value but for a club reporting we are more profitable than we thought we would be at the end of the last financial year, up against a club likely to have posted a loss and with little money in the bank as our biggest rivals, 3 of the 4 biggest fees spent on players this summer have been them.

Top 4 in terms of money spent will be:

1. Danilo
2. Dessers
3. Nawrocki
4. Lammers

As said above it doesn’t mean they have signed the best players but for a club or at least a board who like to wax lyrical about our balance sheet, we are not doing much to show it gives us any sort of advantage.

Especially when you consider the gaps in our squad. It’s not even the fact it is mainly projects we have signed, it’s the fact we could have actually signed better players or ones closer to fitting our needs for similar or a little more than we paid for the ones we got.

 

Depends who those 5 were though. Don't see it personally it would mean we've brought in 11 players this window I think. Would also be a fair indication that the ones brought in already aren't looking all that.

Over a week since we got pumped out the cup and no signings.

Even if we somehow manage to pull 4/5 signings out of the bag (which I highly doubt), it still doesn't fix this window. It's been a complete and utter trainwreck.

With a few days left in the window, and a few games into the season already, we should be nowhere near the position we're in regarding the mess of our squad. It's an * set up we have. Has been for a long time and for a year or so it seemed like we'd moved on and actually started running like a professional outfit. But apparently not.

Years and years of flinging * at the wall to see what will stick has resulted in a bloated squad, full of utter dross that should be nowhere near a club like Celtic. 2023 and Ralston and Forrest are still regular contributors. * ridiculous. Neither would look like world beaters at Motherwell.

We'll be going into a game at Ibrox with a defence including Taylor and Scales. A midfield with zero pace or power, or guile. And an attack with two wingers who struggle to beat a player. That's what CL money and years of selling players for big fees gets you.

 

I have faith. We will bring in enough.

Even if we get 5 players in before Friday and beat the huns 4-0 at Ibrox, serious questions need to be ask.

At this point, it's clear the board done 90% of their transfers through Ange's contacts, utterly embarrassing.
