Not Actually that Crucial a Summer as of August 2023...beginning to now think everything isnt fine!

The recruitment may turn out to be excellent, it's very early days..

But, this week arguably we need a GK, LB, CB, CM and maybe a ST.. unlikely isn't it..

 

For the CL yes.

But not looking like the club care about Europe.

Even with just a signing or 2 over the next week we should still win the league.

 

It's unacceptable that they seem to not care, that should be our benchmark, not the Hun..

It's just as well they're pish as well tho..

 

It is embarassing but he's right to say it. We need to face up to the reality of it and there's no sense making out like everything's fine and dandy. We're in danger of taking a step backwards if we don't get the finger out. At this point, it might inevitable that we won't replace adequately what we've lost.

 

Fear is we turn out to be more pish. Given our recent dominance thats a shocking possibility.

We've spent most of the jota money so unfair to say money not put back in by club...if everyone was fit then only left back and poss GK would need looked at...I still think KT will be back even though saying going to Sociedad...

Agree if permanent transfer then should take our cut but real Sociedad is loan only with no must buy in summer so unless another club offers permanent deal then we should try as CL would increase transfer value for them.. prob won't happen but have feeling it might...

 

The fans aren't prepared to not renew season tickets or boycott games. That, if done regardless of league results, might force the club's hand. But I feel the average Scottish fan of Celtic would go to every game they can go to. Understandable, TBH. And I've got some cheek mentioning boycotts- I've never been to Scotland or CP.

 

in all fairness loads of us had said a GK comes in if 1 leaves. You don't have to be itk to have twigged that.

 

Going into the last week of the transfer window and we’re weaker than last season never mind next level signings, honestly I’m not signing up for another CL mauling if we don’t sign some quality, no doubt someone will buy tickets for my two seats but I’ll not be present for another humiliation at the hands of barca, madrid, psg etc

 

Unfortunately for many many years, this board know this to be the case.
Someone will still pay and go along, so long as enough people still do, they will continue to do this nonsense of not truly investing to take us up a level.

Closest we got was the protests a few years back, lawwell steps back, they see everyone backing the club and manager again, they sneak lawwell back in and we return to type with how we operate.

Less than a week to make a difference in this window, but I'll doubt we will.
Perhaps a big named loan deal to pull the wool over a few folk, but we will 100% be weaker this season than last.

I don't understand why he's still here. Two things spring to mind. He's been assured he's got serious money to spend in the next few days. Or he's been asked to be patient until we've got rid of the fringe players.

However if it's the latter, then why was he making noises about doing well in the CL?

We seem to be very close with a winger and a CB, but neither of the names mentioned is exciting me very much.

 

Fucksake they have £50 million in the bank before we got season ticket money and champions League money and Jota money and only spent 15 million and at this present moment we need goalkeeper and left back and midfielder and striker.
The club aren't serious about Europe at all * depressing .

 

He wanted a job and we were his only offer. That, imo, is the only reason he is here.

 

He's been chatting balls and pushing the narrative that he was taking a break... And only Celtic could lure him.
When it's common knowledge he applied for the Palace job and was told to do one.

Because he didn't want to take a job in the desert like amateurs such as slippy, doesn't equate to us being his first choice.
