That deal has been done for ages just waiting on their CL fate to be sorted. They were offering £60k+ a week.

I honestly think see if it had come to it Livakovic would have stayed where he was before coming to us.

I can’t see it especially if we are waiting on Siegrist to go but was hoping we might be in for Kovacevic of Rakow, who I think we would have more of a chance of getting as he is young enough to still get a move after us.

I am just hoping there is still a surprise up our sleeve. We can’t say we are waiting to the end of the window for talent to become available and then not take a good opportunity if it becomes available even on loan.

I hate loans but we have made a mess of this window that I would take it. I also think there may be a sting in the tail with Hatate moving on.

So far we've signed mostly projects, one of them actually injured before he's even kicked a baw, it's as if something has gone wrong between Rodgers original presser and now.

All the talk of our ambitious plans seems out of sync with our transfer business, which just looks like we're making it up as we go along, looks a shambles tbh, granted we have been struck by injuries but nevertheless it all seems very amateurish.

Amazing how quickly things seem to have gone to * though.

I cannot believe we are gonna be going into the UCL with the same midfield again.

Nothing will change. Its probably gonna be worse.

    Something has definitely went wrong.

Regardless of what happens next few days we are still gonna come out of the window having not strengthened some key areas.

    Its negligent.

Madness if we don't sign a GK.

It's at the point where seeing Hart in goals is annoying me. As much as he's a sound big guy.

The "waiting for quality" towards the end of the window excuse is the new we'll spend after CL qualification..

It is strange because I never disliked Hart, he's been a top man since coming in.

Even though I've been saying for a while, going back last season that GK should be seen a priority... the fact Hart still plays now is frustrating to see and it isn't his fault.

I honestly thought he'd stick around this season and maybe get ousted by a new and much younger singing. But seems like he will play every game in goal

It's gonna cost us. Astonished if they can't see it.

It's embarrassing for Rodgers having to come out and say the squad is weaker than last season, goes against his earlier comments about being a good time to strengthen whilst in a position of strength.

All we hear is talk and little or no action, it's not excuses we want it's players in the door, already so much time has been wasted, now it's a mad scramble to get a number of players in in the space of a week.

So much praise has been heaped upon the recruitment team, but for whatever reason things don't seem to be running smoothly.

It will be interesting to see what we do as I can’t see any of

    Hart
    Johnston
    CCV
    Hatate
    O’Riley
    Turnbull
    Abada

Being here next season so by not really recruiting the types of players we needed this season we could be looking at a proper rebuild next season. We like making things hard for ourselves.

Celtic are set to snap up Luis Palma after the attacker snubbed a mega money move to Saudi Arabia in favour of a switch to Scotland.

The 23-year-old Honduran is poised to pen a four-year Parkhead deal after a fee of almost £4million was agreed with Greek side Aris. Celtic have also ramped up their search for a centre back – with a loan deal the preferred option due to Cameron Carter-Vickers and Maik Nawrocki facing up to two months on the sidelines and Stephen Welsh out for four months following surgery.

Brendan Rodgers is assessing several defensive options – with Southampton’s Lyanco among the names put to the Hoops boss with Saints keen to offload the Brazilian. The 26-year-old played 30 times for the St Mary’s side last term but has fallen further down the pecking order with Mason Holgate on the way from Everton. Lyanco looked set for a move to Besiktas earlier in the window but the move collapsed, while clubs in England and the Middle East have also been alerted to his availability.

Saints are keen to offload but Rodgers has several other irons in the fire and is expected to have another defender on board soon. Palma’s capture is understood to be close with Greek Super League outfit Aris ready to accept a record fee for their top asset.

The free-kick specialist is also believed to be sweet on a move to Celts, despite two big spending Saudi clubs showing interest. Rodgers has remained tight-lipped on the transfer but admitted Palma was a player he was aware of as Celts prepare to ramp up the recruitment drive in the final week of the window.

The Northern Irishman had planned to add one or two new faces this week but injuries to key men have forced a change in plan – and now several arrivals are expected to check in over the coming seven days. Rodgers admitted he has had to be patient over some of his targets and he has been tracking another attacker since the £25m departure of Jota at the start of January.

He said: “I didn’t have any perceived ideas of time, I just know when you are trying to get in players sometimes that takes a little bit of time. There are deals and markets that it is very easy to work in and then there are others where timing is an issue.

“It is not anything as regards this club, because the club have been brilliant since I have been in here to activate and get the players that we want. It’s just sometimes on the other side there has been a delay. The work will be continuing to improve the squad and that is the challenge for us.”

Celtic’s Palma pursuit comes as the club chase several reinforcements

Rodgers has been hit with a crisis in central defence, with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki and Stephen Welsh all out for at least two months

He is set to add an experienced replacement in the coming days, while a left-back could also arrive.

Rodgers has also been assessing the goalkeeping position, and could bring in a striker before the window shuts on Friday night.

We need to get rid of * like Albian Ajeti, Ismaela Soro, James Mccarthy, Mikey Johnstone etc.

    I can't help but feel like it's been a * transfer window.

Maybe the only way was down after Ange, winning a treble and that. Papped out the league cup by Kilmarnock already and we'll get * skelped about in the champions league for 6 games.

I was Mr Positive as well, but that * at Rugby park has * me off. We keep signing * wingers who don't seem to start either.

you have to wonder what the * lawwell jr has been doing all this time, id imagine if palma was linked with sevco his agent has been offering him around and thats looking like our big signing of the summer . they must think thoes early signings were gonna keep everybody happy because it worked out that way for ange .they will no doubt tear the * out of palma deal and announce it next friday ,hoping with blind optimism that hes gonna be anywhere near as good as jota
