Rodgers has come out and stated that our squad is definitely weaker so why the * are the suits not getting players in? It’s back to the old wait and see what’s available a day before the window shuts and then spout the pish about “we tried our best..” Pathetic.

Corporate sabotage or incompetence you pick.

Either way we have regressed on and off the park

7 days to get 5 signings in.

Nothing will change either as we keep blindly throwing money at the club. I include myself in this as well.

Absolutely no chance they get money for champions league games tho with the team in its current state. We will rival those * for worst team ever.

I'd rather be in our position than theirs. Going to Eindhoven all square, PSV have to be favourites now. We, on the other hand, are guaranteed the money.

I normally go into the European campaign with no fear and thinking we can do well and invariably always lose, sometimes badly.

The thought of going into the champions league with the current squad and injuries fills me absolute dread.

for two seasons, we didn't have this nonsense.

Some will say it was Ange way of doing things - but you are deluded if you don't think it is actually Lawwell being out the picture for that same period.

There is * all excuses for this nonsense at the club.
Can't tell me that a manager like Rodgers, isn't demanding for signings to be done quicker/now/more. It is part of the reason he quit the first time, so he clearly does do that (or at least previously did) and was shut down by the man in charge - who is the same man who wasnt on the scene for the last two years.

The fact that we’re a self admitted WORSE team at this stage of the season is nothing short of negligent by our board.

Even if we get signings in, how long do they actually have to hit the ground running before we’re playing at Ibrox? With an opportunity to go 6 points clear.

Could Palma for example not have been signed weeks ago?

It's *, no doubt, but people comparing this season to the covid season? Come off it.

That season has a special place in * for me. Specky Laxalt, Duffy and Kenny, Bolingoli's mystery holiday, Lennyball, loses at home to St Mirren and Ross County, Ibiza trip, pass to paradise.

I always thought we would get our business done, I’m a bit worried that the this is procrastinating now and we need help this week, not next week.

I think we will get one or two in permanent and one or two city loaners. Maybe with a buy option

Realistically even if we get quality in next week are they going to be thrown in first game at ibrox? We’ve seen previously how they types of debuts have gone for players….. or do we get them in and not play them and stick with the injury-riddled squad that we have…. I for one would play them if they’re the right quality but like what’s been said before, negligence leaving it this late and not giving them a chance to train or play before such a big game

That's obviously the way the board are thinking and why we are not seeing any new signings .The bank balance is their * and not the team we all pay good money to go and see

Who says we're not trying to get players in? We still had deadline day signings under Ange, this isn't a change back to anything. People really need to stop pushing this lie that everything was fast and early under Ange and now it's slow under Rodgers.

If the window shuts and we haven't signed a few more I'll be as raging as anyone, but at this point nothing is really different from most other years.

Think we all thought this window was going to be different and we were all going to see us really up and go for it and sign some £6/7/8m players. Especially when Rodger’s was appointed and the reason he was coming back was to make Celtic compete in Europe.

Then the Jota money hit and as gutting as it was him leaving the expectations for signings went though the roof. That’s where our frustrations lie. If there ever was a time to go and spend some serous money it was now. So atleast now we know never to expect it.

We will get a couple of decent players in next week and when we get players back from injury we will have a good squad and a good manager. But won’t be competitive in Europe still i don’t think.

This window, for me, was always the one I was going to judge Mark Lawwell and Nicholson on most - even assuming Ange was staying.
Was the Ange effect a blip, was we willing to push the boat out in season 3 when it really matters, was we going to strengthen from a position of strength further still?
The fact Ange left and Rodgers came in, shouldn't have changed the ambitions of the club and what we judge the setup on - and in that respect, they have completely failed this window and proven to resort to type. The big question is, is it Lawwell return to a position of power which has caused it, or was it all really just the Ange effect and that the club never actually progressed at all - either way, we are back to where we was when Lennon got given the job in the shower.

Mediocre *, hoping to sneak through things with the bare minimum effort.

My biggest worry is that we're away at Ibrox next week with no new signings in, and a squad that has good players, but has clear weaknesses.

I think we'll sign a few more by the end of the window, but the longer it takes for them to join, the less likely they are to be involved in next week's game, which is huge for us. Also don't want us scrambling about on deadline day with deals falling through.

I wasn't really worried and I'm glad that Palma looks close to signing, but we desperately need a LB and GK (probably the two biggest concerns prior to the window even opening) and we still have only seen tentative links to Merlin.

Hope there's some rumours today for those areas, because * * we're cutting it close.
