Must admit that Devlin wasn't wrong, his name does sound like a Tory. I never saw that before. :56::56::56::56:

Looks like another week, and going into another match, having done absolutely * all.

Need to pray we actually turn up tomorrow or it could be a bleak start to the season.

That old saying you should never go back is ringing true. I respect rodgers for what he achieved but hate him for how he left. Mind you lawell was as much to blame by not backing him in europe with funds. We need to get rid of people who are too cosy with the huns instead of killing them off for good when we had the chance.lawell is not to be trusted.lol remember the barricades around OUR club.cant see this season being successful unless our players say * this we will play angeball whatever rodgers says.he wont be here anywhere near next may. After a fantastic treble winning season i am depressed already for this one.hope im wrong i really do .HH

It is a bit mental that to date we've spent the same, if not less, as the Huns.

The next number of days better be * mental. It's sheer negligence at this stage.

    Back to normal.

OK sorry forgot I was trying to be positive.

5 in by Friday! Ha ha

Agree with you mate it is sheer negligence from the board get the feeling it's the ultimate revenge from within on Rogers * off first time around and throwing him under the bus hope I'm wrong .

You do wonder why we have to leave it so late. After watching the presser there and BR confirming Rocky pulled up just before FT. That meant we knew we were down to one fit CB at first team level. But later on he’s asked if we will sign a defender before our next game and he’s straight away said no. We are leaving all these signings until the last week on purpose. So risky.

Said before the season started that it was risky especially with the first round of games and we have and with our injuries already picking up in pre season it wasn’t a good sign. 3 games in look * and already out of a cup. Rangers losing first game has bought us time.

The irony with the board's attitude to the window is that it will actually cost them money.

Not just in terms of lost games/cups/etc., but in terms of revenue from the support. There's been a real buzz and excitement round the club again over the last couple years and it's just vanished. If we've got fewer quality players and playing less exciting football, people will literally switch off the telly and do something else. They'll tune in for the big games and check the scores for the rest rather than take the time out their life to watch us try and pass it in against St Johnstone.

Rodgers was backed with more funds than most other teams in the Europa League last time he was manager. Particularly with regards to the wage bill.

It’s how the money was spent that was the problem. Him getting his pal Congerton in had a lot to do with that.

I don't think it's just a case of 'getting players in' (of course that helps) I'm a bit worried that our whole style has been all over the shop of late. In the Japan friendlies I actually thought we played some good attacking football so I wasn't so worried cos it looked like it was gelling albeit in a BR way, but the last two games have been a bit of a mess. Long way to go of course and hopefully we turn up tomorrow and start playing well..anyhoo maybe Ross Cunty can buy as some time.

Unless we are trying to pull off some shock high profile signings of players with serious talent (we operate within the Scottish league so come on, is that even realistic) the board should be fully aware of what and how fans will react to that, off the back of an already fan splitting reappointment of Rodgers.

They are literally gambling on saving a few mill rather than spending wisely to keep the buzz alive and in the end actually make hundreds of Millions.

We have seen this behaviour all to often before and given the stark differences that have so immediately set in, I do feel like it gives weight to an argument that Ange, surprisingly had a very strong voice and level of authority over the running of the club.

And at least for now, Rodgers has come back doing an impression of Lennon, just happy to be here and doing as he's told.

I said in the July, let's see where we stand come 15th August and we are way past that now a d the squad, the fanbase and the style of football on the pitch is all looking incredibly flat abd uninspiring.

Rodgers is trying to play is "style" of slow and steady possession with a bunch of guys who were all far more technically suited to the style Ange had which was to give them limited time to think on the ball and just get the cuntng leather * moving forward with urgency.

Right now what we are seeing is a bunch of guys who have limited technical ability on the ball and they are struggling, but give them a direct style of play where they are told run into spaces at pace, run in behind defenders, come in from out wide to charge at far post, they tick along like a dream and blow away most domestic opponents
