Deadline days been crap for years also they wouldn’t give a * about our dealings anyway on Sky so that theory sounds rubbish mate. We must be holding out for some EPL fringe players, although I don’t underhand why we can’t just bid now.

 

A massive club isn't necessarily a well run one. I'll admit there can be exceptions to the rule but on the whole I would stand by what I say about well runs clubs not needing to be scrambling around for players in the final 24hrs of a 3/4 month long transfer window.

 

Eh? The issue isn't about KT. I'm talking in general. Waiting until the very last day of a transfer window to sign the players you hope will make a difference is extremely dangerous. As I said, what happens if the deal falls through? What then?

 

It's now past the stage where I'll be staggered if we sign even 3 more players.

Just over a week left and it usually takes us about 3 days to do a * medical.

 

I don't think it would be unfair to ask why we hadn't signed a LB earlier even if KT signs. We should have improved earlier.

 

And what if we look elsewhere for this very reason, and sign the next Mo camara on a 4 year deal? Theres risks on both sides.

We ain’t signing three quality players before the window closes. Anyone who still holds to that are * deluded. All this pish as well about having to wait for quality is just that. PISH. Underwhelming transfer window to say the least. We go into the last week of the window with a backup RB who needs at least a half dozen games before he reaches a decent level. A backup LB who can’t defend for *. The winger situation is scandalous. Our options there are weak to say the least. Not to mention the GK situation.

Jota, tierney, podence, a hard cm and a gk, only way to salvage things.

 

I’m not really interested in signing EPL players who are barely kicking a ball for their current team but I feel as if we could get 3/4 players from there who would really push us on and I’m still clinging onto hope that this is what happens.

This is one of the weirdest transfer windows I can remember for us especially the strong financial position we're in. I'm generally one of the biggest happy clappers out there but even me is starting to get concerned. The team atm is still weaker than the team that finished the season imo. There was a lot of talk about increasing the quality for a tilt at Europe but to be honest at the moment I'd settle for a side as strong as last season.

Still time to turn it around but I think it's becoming increasingly more likely we're not going to fill all the positions needed. Hoping for the best as always but my optimism is really strained to the limit.

 

I know this might sound mental but I’m not sure if I would take Jota back. It’s not bitterness in any way but the guy has basically made life now. £30m in the * bank. Is there going to be the same motivation for him in the world of football?

Obviously, he’s on a free… he’s still an excellent footballer but would he still be as determined to push on? I’d worry about that.
