This is horrendous it really is. Absolutely anything in Europe appears to be just a bonus to the board which is sad to see.

The ABSOLUTE necessary we need is LB, LW and a class CM. We need others but those are a must.

 

The only thing I'd disagree with is that I rate Abada. A new RW would be nice; but not essential. 100% agree with the other 4.

 

Another day, another day of disappointment? Probably.

 

Let's keep the faith, the signings are coming.
And if they aren't, well never mind Europe. Rodgers will deserve the North Stand named after him if he wins the league with the current squad.




I'm clearly exaggerating for effect. I get that tensions are high right now about Rodgers; but hopefully it's clear that I'm semi-"tongue in cheek" with that. What is true is that the league is not a given with the current squad.

That is the exact question I think we are all asking ourselves.

I think we were all hoping for some masterstroke and we bring in some good players late on. The reality our targets are all likely to go elsewhere and we will be left scrambling.

Every single person on this forum, in fact every Celtic supporter, could spot the areas that needed improved weeks ago.

I have tried to stay positive and optimistic but this window is quickly becoming a farce.

The speed in which we done deals over the last couple of years was central to our success. This year we’ve left it to the last minute and it’s now a lottery of who we get… we sold Jota for a record fee 6 weeks ago and haven’t replaced him.

If we don’t have at least 2 signings in for the St Johnstone game then there will be grumblings for sure. Especially if we fail to put on a performance.

Yep. Until we see the news that our only fit striker is out with a shoulder injury and we don’t have any strikers and one CB, then it’s major disappointment. Bound to happen.

 

Is this based on anything? I've been defending Rodgers; but if you are right, that would change my opinion. But is there any evidence for this or at least any reason the think he's done this?

He should not have any input into that. If it is happening, he should be told to focus on what he's good at and let the scouting and recruitment department do their jobs.

I guess only time will tell on that.
