You Scots guys all used to be into Hixxy and Dougal, scooter etc. They used to run buses from Belfast to Rez or hangar because some of the lads DJd at them. I never went because the music was too fast for me. I was more into Sasha, Digweed, all deep house and progressive trance etc. Although heard mad nights were had. I always liked a more intimate 200/300 crowd. Hated getting my trainers and jeans * up. Still happened though.:58:

Yeah I had a phase where I was all about the 180bpm stuff. I was that little bit too young to experience it in its proper heyday mind. It was * massive over here. There'll be guys on here that would know more about it than me, Rez's and Fantasia and the like. Hangar 13 in Ayr was it?? And the Fubar in Stirling. I used to sit on a Saturday night with my finger on pause ready to record Tom Wilson's bouncing beats on Radio Forth. Great times.

Yes Hangar was in Ayr. Got closed down because it got very dodgy. Load of heroin deaths and fights and bad E. Tom Wilson was he technocat? Also saw Qtex and QfX live. Also 23rd precincts boys used to play over here. That was good house music.

I have a channel on You Tube under the same user name. I've uploaded some of Sasha and John Digweed's finest mixes. Some other great mixes from people like Scott Hardkiss, FSOL and Moby too.

I'm glad to have been young when there was loads of great dance music about. Still got my Renaissance triple CD set from when it came out in 1994. Renaissance 2 is amazing as well but that one is John Digweed on his own. Heard Children by Robert Miles on Renaissance 2 ages before it got its chart release. Tracks like Compass Error and Indoctrinate are stunning.

Swing parks look as boring as * to me these days. You used to have chutes that were ridiculously high and steep (also great fun) and these things:

You could get a spider's web roundabout going at a rate of knots but wedge a scaffold plank into it and you could launch kids into the stratosphere.
