Atmosphere was amazing today! Did anyone see the wee man leading all the chants down by the river before the game? Got a 6 minute video of it haha!

As a local in Norwich I can assure you that it is a really fantastic friendly city with the best real ale pubs in the UK and your fans are being made to feel very welcome.

Delia is a Catholic and goes to the local catholic cathedral most mornings and her best mate is a nun. Norwich has the most churches per head of population. However, according to census data Norwich is actually the least religious place in the UK... we much prefer real ales.

If you can leave out the anti-English and religious stuff then I am sure that your fans would be made to feel very welcome at Norwich games in the future should you ever wish to venture south.

We hope that you enjoy the fine city, treat it with respect and have a very safe trip home. Cheers!

I'm sure there will plenty be going down and vice versa in the future. It's Rangers fans that sing the religious stuff though :50:

Thanks for posting mate. I'm not going to sit here and deny that there are a very small minority of Celtic supporters who use the club as a channel to communicate their anti-British beliefs. It's common knowledge. I'd be insulting your intelligence if I stated otherwise.

But, I can assure you, they do not speak for the vast majority of Celtic supporters. In fact, they probably represent about 1% of the support and nothing more.

As I'm sure you and many other Norwich supporters witnessed tonight, the other 99% of our support is made up of genuine, warm, friendly people, who like nothing more than to follow the team wherever they go and have a party in the process.

There is a small element of nastiness in every club's support. It's just unfortunate that Celtic's is highlighted more often than others, because of our strong Irish heritage.

As a Norwich fan, this makes me wonder whether you even went to the game today.

I started drinking with Celtic fans at 4pm right up to kick off, and then for an hour after the game.

Not once did I hear 'anti-English' stuff. I wore my Norwich colours proudly in a pub dominated by Celtic fans, not once did I have any trouble or abuse, or sense any aggression.

I'm sure that stuff goes on, EVERY club has a few idiots, but I can categorically state that I would never consider mingling with Rangers fans in pubs.

I genuinely didn't encounter a single Celtic muppet today. Not saying that there weren't any floating around, but I couldn't have imagined a better behaved set of fans, especially considering how many there were.

Celtic have done US the favour today mate, they didn't have to agree to the game, it wouldn't have made them any money, their fans didn't have to make the trip.

We owe them the favour now, maybe we can travel 8 hours for a benefit game or testimonial game sometime.

Norwich fans were top class hosts, Celtic fans treated our city, club, fans, ground, bars, and police with respect.

I can assure you that if any 'anti-English' sentiment was present it wouldn't have ended up that way.

I tend to find that Celtic fans are not 'anti-English', but 'anti-bigot', and that's great.... because I'm 'anti-bigot' too. That's why you won't find Celtic playing friendly's with Chelsea.

Contrast that to the carnage seen in Manchester when Rangers visited. They were about as 'anti-English' as imaginable, and they are fans who parade the Union Jack at games.

Not sure how much rosier you expected it to be, it was an awesome night. I'm sure that there are some f'in idiots supporting Celtic, but they didn't bring them tonight.

Celtic isn't a catholic club - our best manager ever was a protestant for example - what it is though is a * good club and we don't have a support we have a family really.
Norwich can be a little part of that now if you want :icon_mrgreen:

    Don't * beat Liverpool again though :31:

LifeLong canary is bang on, this is a Celtic forum so you can maybe expect us to all be very proud of ourselves and biased towards the hoops - but it has categorically been seen that EVERY town and city we venture, we cause no serious damage, have very few if any arrests and injuries, and leave an incredibly good impression of Glasgow and Scotland on the locals.

This lasts, of course, until R*ngers come to town and destory that reputation, as well as countless objects and people.

Barcelona, Villareal and now Norwich! Wherever we go we just party and have a good time! Next season Europeans will see that again and hopefully our bhoys on the pitch give as good as us in the stands because if they do then we can really go places.

today was a good experience for the young players. That 17 year old found out what grown target men are like to play against. Was a bit disappointed with Watt being a bit too greedy to operate as part of a front 3.

Also playing a string of wingers across the midfield is probably not the best strategy. Hooper and Stokes didn't link up like they usually do and I'm not sure if it was the quality of the defense that prevented it or the change in the formation.

All in all a good runout for 5 non-first teamers.

Whats the point in keeping Paddy and wasting wages on a player thats not going to play, he has his moments but in all slows down our play and without the ball were a man down....he has had his moments but now its time to move on and give the youngsters their time on the pitch.....McGeouch will be a better player than McCourt!

tbf that's not an achievement these days man. If we (Celtic) played a full strength team we would pump Liverpool lol.

Guys, there's some shocking rumours coming out it was actually Paddy McCourt in a Grant Holt mask handing in that transfer request...

Does anyone have a video of the full stadium Huddle yet? I thought it was amusing when I read online, having missed the game, that the Norwich supporters joined in, chanting "doing the Huddle when Rangers die" :56:

I actually thought Watt was quite good, had two magnificent efforts.
