Hope we're in for him

 

Seeing someone on follow follow (I know) has claimed that shanklands dad told him that were in for him. I really hope not , if we can't get idah then we should be going all in for miovski

 

If we did, I think it would be one of the signings we make mainly to stop a player going to the huns. Thinking Scott Allan as another example.

There's no point in signing Shankland, I don't think he'd do well for us as his heart wouldn't be in it. And I wouldn't be worried about him going to the huns. Hard pass for me.

 

Not a chance we're interested in him. He's the antithesis of a Rodgers type player. Overweight and slow.

 

There seems to be a lot of noise about us being in for him. I have done a complete u turn on Shankland, I actually would have took him in January but if he was decent they would have easily beat Rangers on Saturday. He took an age to do anything, particularly to get shots off on Saturday.

I remember listening to I think it was Alan Morrison (Celtic by Numbers) on a podcast basically saying his finishing the second half of last season was unsustainably good. Basically any half chance he was throwing his boot at was flying in.

I actually don’t think he is a bad player but we should be aiming higher. I think we should throw in a £5m plus a player and loan player to Aberdeen for Miovski. There is meant to be other interest but they have only had a £3m bid from Espanyol so far.

 

Seen articles in swedish papers saying our scouts flew to Sweden to scout Toure so seems to be something in it.

 

Really hope there's something in it. He'd be my pick of all those linked.

 

Are we going to get established quality for that position though? I don't see it. We're not selling any of Maeda, Palma, Kuhn or Forrest, so truth be told we're more likely to bring in an exciting project who could challenge and potentially take over from one of the above.

 

If we can't get Idah, I would not be adverse to us signing Lawrence Shankland instead. Shankland would get 30 goals a season in this Celtic team, and score every penalty.

And we would get him for half the price Norwich want for Idah.

 

He wouldn't score 30 goals bcoz he's the exact opposite of type of player manager likes.

The fat hun * would be lucky to get 30 mins

 

And we never will. Not the type of player Rodgers would be go for.
We will sign 2 strikers and one will never be shankland

Aye, I thought that when we were linked but seeing no movement out or in since makes me feel we're sticking with the wingers we have, plus a project. Could be wrong. Anyway, Toure looks class to me from the clips and is exactly the type who'll go to a Salzburg/Benfica type and tear it up in the next year or so.

 

Maybe we will sign Toure in a year, when Forrest's contract expires. Right now, we're loaded with wingers. Even if we sold Mikey and Yang, we'd still have 4 in total.

 

I don't think Shankland would be a bad signing at all. I just dont like the *. He looks like a hun. He would be a Grifiths type signing and he would score lots of goals in Scotland but none in europe. Would not be mad to have him as 3rd choice, but we will never know because as the guys above said he is not a Rodgers striker.

I do hope the huns dont sign him though.
