A midfield of Ndidi, McGregor and O’Riley is the stuff of dreams. Shame that two of those players won’t be at Celtic next year.

Ndidi or someone of a similar profile would be the perfect Cal partner, especially for Europe. Someone to do the dirty work and let Cal handle the ball progression and recycling the ball, probably his best skill.

I just can’t see us paying what other clubs would offer in wages though, he’ll have offers from England and Turkey that will pay far more than we can

Ndidi and O'Shea? Are the board actually taking action or leaking stuff to make it look like they are doing something?

OM wouldn't meet his wage demands or signing on fee so there is next to no chance we will. What that article does is reeks of we don't have anything on celtic but we need clicks so let's speculate and people will click.

Ndidi article absolutely nothing behind it. O'Shea meant to have some sort of release clause and the Republican who does have someone at CP he knows is running with it.

Aye there is absolutely no chance we are signing Ndidi. * was on £40k a week last year after his wages were slashed by 50%. He will get far more than that. Will probably end up in Saudi, Qatar or Turkey on mega wages.

    Would be some player though.

Would take Schmeichel as well. Still think he's a class keeper. Not sure what is contract situation is but him and Rodgers had a fall out, I'm sure. Would be a difficult one to get over the line.

We will be linked with almost every player that Rodgers has worked with previously at Leicester and Liverpool who are either up for sale, out of contract or looking to move on during this transfer window, Ndidi I would love to have but We have no chance of signing him due to wages, next thing You know We will be linked with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Jannik Vestergaard, Harry Soutar and Hamza Choudhury as they were all mainstays in Rodgers Leicester team.

A decent signing on fee + reasonable wages is surely the same as no signing on fee and high wages, no? Same net outlay.

Either way, cant see this happening either.

I think it comes down to how it is accounted for and also given we impose a wage structure on players using a signing on fee allows them to maintain that.

I suspect some or all of Kyogo, Maeda, CCV, O’Riley and Abada were given some sort of signing on fee last season for their new contract.

What makes me think that is the figure in our spend on players in the interim accounts is higher than what we paid to actually sign players.

This accounting classification will be important with FSR rules where our wage bill has to comply with a % of our revenue going forward.

Ndidi will end up in Saudi or Turkey, no doubt.

The Republican on KDS saying we're close to signing a Scandinavian goalie. Mid 20's.

    Assuming it Vindahl.
