Where are you getting this from mate? I’d actually be quite happy with this. Think he’d be an upgrade on all our cb’s apart from CCV and would partner him well. Also homegrown so means we could sell the likes of welsh

I think McKenna is exactly the type of player we need. Experience is HUGE in big games / europe etc. I like the model to buy young and resell, but we need a few experienced players to get to the next level. The right ones. And i am confident McKenna would be good for us. It was in Ange system that older/slower players had a very hard time.

If McKenna is signing, which I'm not against, I want Welsh sold and Lagerbielka and Nawroski either sold or put out on loan with the view to move them on next summer.

I also want another center back brought in to partner CCV.

Would leave us with CCV and a new first choice partner with McKenna and Scales as backup.

If Mckenna comes in, plus we get a goalie in the 28-31(experience of europe) bracket that's a good solid base to build from.

Spend some decent cash on other areas.

I was absolutely against Mackenna a few years back, but he'll improved a fair bit since he's days at the sheep.

He'll be miles better than his sheep days. He's been a great player down there. It would instantly be an upgrade on scales and a player rodgers wanted in the past.

Then we just bring Tierney back, armstrong and with the new Adam idanaldo were just the return of jota from winning the world cup :fear:

Don't really understand McKenna. He doesn't solve any problems. Whoever comes in needs to be significantly better than Scales to partner CCV.

If McKenna isn't that then do we really need to sign him to compete with Welsh.

I'm not unhappy with the signing, but it still leads us needing to sign a centre back

I think we need two centre backs anyway.

We could do better than McKenna, but he'd immediately become our second best CB and fill that homegrown slot. Punt Welsh, Lagerbielke and Nawrocki. Then bring in another one.

Mckenna and another CB would be ideal.

Homegrown and better than anything we have currently outside of CCV.

Also not the same player people are thinking of. We could have done with someone like him numerous times this season. Killie away, Tynecastle away etc is where he'd be worth his money IMO.
