KDS is in complete meltdown in their transfer Discussion there is over 900 pages and about 50 of them has players rumoured the rest is everyone either slagging the rumour of or each other off. Some of it is funny though

the rumour on the emboli one above, some one straight on has him as Liberace which is funny but now there is a string of Liberace references.

 

There also seems to big meltdown because we haven’t signed a Gk, LB, LW, ST, there is a saying of “what’s for you won’t go bye you” we will get what we were supposed to in the right time.

 

Lafont would be incredible, always liked him.

 

He was someone I suggested when he was at STVV before he went to Serie A. At one point Juve wanted to sign him but it was with an eye to their youth team as he would have only been 20 or so at the time.

If I remember correctly he’s a traditional left full back, plays wide in a system with inverting wingers and gets up and down the left side of the pitch. His low goal involvements may be more down to the teams he is playing in being bottom half sides. His only involvement in a dominant team was way back with Wellington Phoenix where he got 4 goals and 4 assists in 40 or so games.

I have to say I had not heard or seen any of him since he moved to Italy but it does look like his career has stalled there. Just about to turn 23 and you wouldn’t imagine he would cost a lot. He definitely has the athletic qualities we need but not sure about footballing ones.

 

He’ll fit right in on our left side then with Maeda, both having no footballing qualities.

I am not saying he has no footballing ability just that all I can remember was he looked an athletic full back.

Any footage I can see now is from his stint in A league and for New Zealand national team. He does look like the type of full back we need it’s just hard to judge given the level but it didn’t stop us signing Tilio from the same league.

He would definitely be someone that Lawwell and the other ex city scout from that region would be aware of as he was highly thought off before his move to Europe.

Looks good here, good dribbler for his size, fairly quick, decent delivery and obviously adds that bit of height and physicality to the defence

 

To be fair their first choice left back last season just went to Fiorentina for €10M this summer.

 

No idea how good that Cacace is, but Empoli's first choice left back was excellent so no issues with him not being first choice.

Good height, and has plenty of experience.

 

In my mind I keep going back to Bodo’s defenders, all very comfortable on the ball, quick and dwarfed our players. Maybe they all looked huge because it was like men against boys but why can’t we find this type of player.

 

Surely there’s nothing in the Lafont rumours?

Even with broken ribs he would probably still be the best keeper in Scotland

Doesn't say too much about him though. Selling their best left back and happy to let the second in line go....if the links true..

He looks decent. Looks mobile and good stature but I'd be hoping to target someone a fair bit better to be honest..

 

The closer to the close of the window and he hasnt moved, the more likely i think the chances are that he could end up here. A last minute loan for the rest of the season.

 

Not sure we can wait until the end of window for KT, lots needing to fall into place to make a deal like that happen.. and if it doesn't, then what?

Would rather we went in just now and if doesn't happen, get another LB from elsewhere..

 

I think we should be willing to give up some technical ability, in favour of athleticism and physicality.. particularly as we're no longer playing inverted fullbacks in our system.
