To be fair, we don’t need 10 players. People are getting their knickers in a twist far too quickly in my opinion. We have brought in two players who I would say are squad players I’d imagine, and they will have been identified prior to Rodgers coming here. With no CL qualifiers, we have got time on our side to make sure we get our transfers right. I’m far from worried at this stage.

 

We were told we would be investing in quality players, thus far we've lost more than we've gained. It's no knickers in a twist its pointing out facts.

 

I agree not worried yet.. but will start to get frustrated soon.. players are back now I'd expect to see some movement INs and OUTs soon!

Maybe not 10 but we certainly need half a dozen at least. We've signed two project players who won't be starting all that often, I would assume.

We essentially need a GK, LB, CM, RW, and LW to go straight into the team. Another CB is needed as well, given our back ups are Welsh and Kobayashi, with the former potentially leaving.

 

If you read the op you'll see we've went back from ange being organised to the comedy * show. waiting on, difficult market, Saudi resurgence, we tried, to expensive, couldn't afford the wages.

 

There’s still nothing to suggest we won’t be investing in quality players though. Losing Jota was a curveball. So finding his replacement was never going to happen in a few days. It’s not pointing out facts to say we need 10 players. That’s hyperbole.

 

I think it’s naive to think we are going to bring in as many starters as that in all honesty. I think Hart will still be our goalkeeper next season, I think one of our existing wingers will be a starter, and I think Taylor will start as our left back also. That’s not to suggest I don’t want to upgrade, I just don’t think we will go for such an overhaul in one window.

 

Not saying I think that's what'll happen but I think it's what needs to happen to push us on to another level.

Hart being our number 1 and one of our existing wingers being a regular starter next season would be a lack of ambition. Taylor has been great but I think he'll regress somewhat if he's used as a more traditional full back under Rodgers.

 

Did BR not officially start on the 1st July? If so then less than a week ago. The players are just back for pre season as well . Gonne take time for new signings.
