Of those already at he club - Maloney. Little and Large often works well and Maloney is a clever footballer. WE still need to buy a new striker neither Miller or Zurawski are not good enough.

I hit the last option there more because to be honest it is far from an open and shut case then I firmly believe we need to buy a new striker although that may end up being what we need to do.

I agree with the premise that VOH is the #1 striker at the club and when fit starts. So who do we play alongside him. Well Jarosik is out as he is a midfielder and is only being played up front to give us some physical presence with VOH injured. Maloney is out as he clearly is best as a midfielder. Miller for me is out. He has had his chance and just hasn't done the business in front of goal.
Riordan simply hasn't been given a chance. Given his goalscoring record at Hibernian I would be inclined to give him a chance before I would buy. But right now the choice for me would be between Beattie and Zurawski. Obviously Beattie has proven to be injury prone on a scale even Phil O'Donnell would struggle to match so I think now he is fit his next shot has to be his last one. Personally I would put Beattie in there and give him his shot. But this would have to be Beattie's last chance. If he can't get it done or gets hurt again I would sell him and give Zurawski and Riordan the chance to fight it out. If none of that works then I think we need to buy a srtiker next summer. But in terms of the rest of this season I think we have enough options to go with being in order for me as Beattie, Zurawski, Riordan.

    Bah humbug !

You do have a point though. Sutton was earning twice what the club was aiming for as an average wage at Celtic Park plus he was only available for 50% of matches so really he cost 4 players in terms of wages and availability. Fine servant but it was time to go.

I think Magic & Miller together just dont work , they are the same type of player , they both want to run the channels . Now When Jan the Man is Fit then i would play Magic with him ....Right now the only reason that Jarosik is playing is because he is the makeshift target man , but just doesnt cut it .... Now with Beattie on the bench yesterday does this mean if Vengoor is out again then hopefully we will see Beattie again , after all he is Fit Again :celt_2: :50:

When fit, I believe the person who should play beside big Jan is Maciej Zurawski. Think he's a better player and ultimately a better finisher than Miller. Miller will work his socks off all game but I feel that could be used to our advantages in bringing him on in the last 10/20 minutes of games.

Out of roughly 40 people voting, not one said jarosik. and yet no doubt GS will persist with him.

Yeah I know couldn't understand why he played him against Rangers then played him again against Falkirk. Hope he doesn't play against Dundee United but Strachan will probably play me.:celt_2:

The question was about who you would rather see play alongside a fit JVOH and all you can do is put down a former player who done a lot for this club and scored many a fine goal.
As for this "cant vote on pie in the sky stuff" its only a question and Jvoh will be back sooner rather than later so its hardly pie in the sky stuff is it?
Its christmas hubert for gods sake lighten up and look at the more positve aspects of our club rather than dwelling on the negative:87:
    You really are a moan

Never mind telling it like it is pal. You were asked who you think would be best suited to play along side JVOH and all you could do was put chris sutton down. Yes he is past his best and maybe he was too before he left us but whats that got to do with the question? And its not the 1st time youve had to bump your gums about some irrelevant * that is always negative. :31:
You really are a miserable old *:37:
C'mon hubert do us all and yourself a favour and lighten up:87:

    Miller!

Fact is he has the same number of assists as Nakamura.Jock Stein said:

"the hardest and most most important pass is the one that proceeds the goal"

He must have known something about football.
