I think if WGS goes, then the Celtic board have a massive decision to make in terms of his replacement. And they HAVE to get it correct! If the board don;t get this one correct, we may not relise what we had in Strachan until its gone! I dont fancy Mowbery or McGhee for the job!

Don't want an Englishman, theyre too unsuccessful,Im more than happy for Strachan to stay if he does call it a day then my first pic would be to bring back MON if he says no then id want Davie Moyes,if he says no then Owen Coyle,Roy Keane,Craig Levein.
Mark McGhee is going up to Aberdeen

One thing we do need is a manager that is better than Walter Smith. Mowbray,Mcghee,Coyle don't even come close. If we don't get this right
there could be bad times ahead. There is one guy out there who no one will give a chance but would jump at the opertunity to get back into the game, plays great attacking football and is one of the most knowledgeable men in the game. I know a lot of fans wouldn't want him though simply because he is English. The mans name is Glenn Hoddle, incidently the best midfielder i have ever seen in the flesh.:86:

It matters that McGhee played for the club because he knows what it's all about, he can relate to the players and he has the passion for the club. The fans would take to him and it makes us that bit better. As I said before look at Walter Smith at Rangers he isn't any great manager, he's not a super tactician, great in the transfer market, brilliant at working out the opposition all he is is a passionate manager that all the huns love and get right behind him, he drills into the players what they need to do and they do it. It works well for big clubs like ourselves.

There is no such person as a great manager who can take over Motherwell and win the League, then go to Portsmouth and win the League then go to Fiorentina and win the League or anything like that how will anyone know how good McGhee/Coyle/Mowbray are until they get the chance to prove it by taking over the leading club in a League. If Martin O'Neill hadn't came to Celtic he may be managing in the English lower League's, he could have went to another Premiership team and failed and fallen away.

I wouldnt want Curbishley either, he's another Strachan basic manager.

There would be something rather ironic if Le Guen came here and made us into some kind of unstoppable force that regularly done Rangers 5-0 home and away.

The more I think about it GET MCGHEE IN. He plays attacking football, preffered 4-3-3 but I wouldn't put him past playing 3-5-2 or even 3-4-3 at home. Just think how great it would be seeing variety from game to game, thats what we need to make it hard for our opponents to out think us.

Using just the nows players as thats all we have we could see things like this:

    Maloney McDonald McGeady
    ---------McCourt
    ----Crosas-------Brown
    O'Dea Loovens Caldwell Hinkel
    -----------Boruc

    McGeady Maloney McDonald
    Brown Crosas Caddis
    O'Dea Loovens Caldwell Hinkel
    ------------Boruc

    ----------McDonald Maloney
    McGeady Brown Crosas Flood Hinkel
    ----------O'Dea Loovens Caldwell
    -----------------Boruc

Think Hoddle is a decent shout mate.
Always talks sense on sky and did a good job for england. Could also attract some half decent players.
Would be better than mcghee, mowbray, coyle or curbishley imo and is more realistic than moyes or rijkaard who simply wont come to manage in the SPL
