That is just rubbish, Celtic fans have traditionally supported the Palestine People for as long as I remember and rightly so. I see another post saying he will be worth a lot of money to the Club. It this what the Celtic support have become? Shame on some of the posts on here. i for one will never loose the heart and soul of the tradition that our Club was built on.

If he's potentially worth a good few million then it would be foolish to tear up his contract for nothing.

It's not 1888 anymore Celtic need to make money to survive, You only need look at the rangers.. We are still a charitable club and will always be.

    Overreaction.

That's the problem right there, Go down that road and we just become another football club. Celtic has never been and never will be just another Club. This is what's happening all over the world people are loosing their loyalty and allegiances to core values that older generations had. It is also why I hear people saying I wont vote yes for independence because we might end up with less money in our pocket. Maybe we should all just forget our history and start eating in Mc Donald's and Drink Coca Cola and forget about all the suffering in the world , sure we can always tell ourselves that people living in poverty or struggling brought it on themselves.

Played well today, gave us something different which was dangerous through balls from midfield.

If he can keep that up he has a real chance of being a regular starter.

absolutely no need for it at our matches . Lots of people support Palestine but why do we have to have a big song and dance about it? Have your political opinions by all means , but dont demonise a footballer for having his.

I really like this guy, quality player..

I think he can go to the top, never flustered, great vision and execution and gets about doing his offensive and defensive work well..

Why, because you are unable to face facts or even argue you point?

The last I'm going to say on the Biton thing.

I hope everyone defending him afford the Celtic support the same right of expression in the future.

    by their own fans??

Bottom line is some celtic fans are unbelievably politically ignorant , and allow their football team to dictate how they view world affairs and who they support/hate. I know some thick as * Celtic fans who only care about coke and xbox who run about our matches with Palestine flags . The bottom line is Nir Biton is from Israel , he is completely entitled to support his country and his people . For him it is a relevant , close to home issue and should not be facing a backlash from his own fans.

    That is a fair point.

But two wrongs don't make a right.

There should be no blood-stained poppies on the Celtic jersey, but neither should players be wishing well those who are actively participating in wanton slaughter, imprisonment and torture.

well what do we expect if the club sign zionists, first Berkovic now this muppet.
He was played today as some sort of statement from the club, we all know the contempt this board have for us, from Dr Death Reid to Nir IDF Biton, says it all really
