    I actually think he has his uses in this side but no one can stand up for him tonight, even in context of the tie being far away from us and the team being weakened.

    Not only did he barely find a team mate with a pass in the first half, he didn’t even try a leg and was never in place for a pass out from the back.

    A real, proper, shocker of a performance.

    Has only ever been useful as an auxiliary, and never at CB. That being said, not suited to this tie. They were too quick for him and he knew it. For all the creativity in midfield we were uninspiring, and Bitton simply isn't the playmaker McGregor is. Amazed he didn't get his token appearance yellow card.

    He was brutal, looked as if he just couldn't be arsed.

    In recent games i think he's done well when called upon, but tonight he was really poor.

    The problem with him is that his style is so relaxed and languid looking is that when he has a shocker like tonight, it can look that way.

    When he has a good game though he’s composed, calm under pressure etc.

    Just his style I think. But struggled badly.

    We need to sign a defensive mid.

    One who's mobile and has a bit of bite about them. Not a soro type and certainly not a Bitton type.

    I think this is a big part of our lack of success in Europe or at the very least, a reason why we leak goals. Last time we had some decent luck in getting to the CL with Rodgers we had brown sitting, when he still had a bit of legs and obviously that game awareness. Before that you had Wanyama under lennon in 2012/13 screening everything.

    I think we definitely need that in there. A midfield consisting of Oriley and Rogic just will not work and he needs to realise it.

    Mcgregor is undoubtedly the one to sit, but in Europe against better quality I think we are asking a lot of him.

    Yeah we are not a better team with Bitton in it lol - maybe against * SPL teams - no. 1 priority for me is a good DM - NOT McGregor - never McGregor imo - should be a DM, McG, Hatate/O'Riley - enough of this John Barnes two playmaker pish
