Based on this season he would be our second best cb after ajer, I actually really rate bitton and he actually allows us to play out successfully from the back, his performance at pittodrie early in the season was sheer class

I suppose the flip side to hardly playing is his stock isn't exactly high at the moment, so if he moves on it certainly won't be for a higher profile team than us and possibly a wage cut.

Just depends if desire to play outweighs sitting on your * for 10k a week on a decent contract. Or maybe he thinks he'll get chances to play if others move in summer, who knows.

He'll be on a good wage after signing that long term deal, 4 or 5 year's I think it was when he was playing well..

I'm no surprised he's happy to sit on that knowing he's a backup player..

1 that even a club like us, can't afford. He's a decent player and has proven to be competently versatile, but he needs moving on..

    I heard it was £9k a week? I don’t think that’s too bad tbh

Quite surprised at that to be fair. Thought it would've been 5 or 6 bag's more..

Still think he should be moved on..

He's filled in as a makeshift centre half, and we now have plenty of them, and still need to add more quality in that department. He's absolutely nowhere near central midfield now in his natural position..

I'd be surprised with that figure as well. A lot of supporters felt he was one of our better players when he signed it.

If he can get back playing and force his way into the squad I wouldn't be against him signing an extension either, He never appears in the papers for the wrong reasons, any interviews he does he always speaks highly of the Club and he seems to be well liked within the squad. He could well see 10 years with us.

I mean you can debate wether he's good enough for Celtic next season but the fact is he's been better than boyata, jozo and so far Hendry this season, he has undoubted quality on the ball and Rodgers trusts him.

He would not be one of my first names to leave, hopefully he's not going to be first choice but I think he's more than capable back up and put in some very good performances earlier in the season

I like him. Handy player to have about too. Can step in when needed in a variety of positions. Rarely has a bad game

Actually brilliant the love he has for the club given some of the abuse he has to take from some 'fans' on social media and the like.

Kayal did the biggest shitebag thing ive seen supporting celtic but he didnt get half the abuse for it. Wonder why:87:

I like him. Before Ajer came into some form Bitton was our best centre back.

Seems to be a very likeable guy amongst the players and has a feeling for the club despite the flak he has taken ,would really love him to kick on next season and show us the player he can be ,needs to be in a constant position and have a good run in the side to gain confidence.

This, if people want a Bobo type player he certainly isn't that but he can read the game and that can make up for him not being the type who will fly into a tackle.
The times I have meet him he just comes across as being genuinely happy to be here and pleased meeting supporters.
It's sad that a tiny minority of arseholes seem to think it's fine to abuse one of our own players but that says more about them than anything else tbh.

I have never felt like he is anywhere good enough in the air for where he plays and for a guy of his size.

An example of this is Martinez’s goal at CP for Bayern.
As good a job as he has done at times, th he bottom line is we should never be playing him at CB and it highlights our inadequecy to find one.
