Guy has been angling for a move even before he lost his place to Boyata.

 

This is the kind of thing that gives me no confidence in BR's decision to make Ajer a CB as well. I know the player has said he's now comfortable there, but from the moment I saw him I thought 'a better Biton'. Both are definitely ball-playing DMs for me.

 

I was the same at first but he went on to play a full season at CB for killie band played a couple times there for us pre season so I'd say ajer feels more comfortable there and looks better there but bitton definitely not. Problem is Brendan wants ball playing CBs but it's pointless if they can't defend. Bitton was playing the ball out well and a couple of great passes but he's not great defensively.. My mates a Liverpool fan and he said he loved Rodgers but he had emre can who's a quality cm play CB where he did decent but he's much better from midfield and he also put Lucas at CB and I didn't watch much of him there but me mate told me Lucas was * there. Always charging out pressing the ball like a dm but leaving a gap in defence... Hopefully we get another CB or go with ajer even as I don't want a slip up in Europe where it could be too costly and too late to make a change

 

He's fine at CB domestically when we will dominate possession and he'll have plenty of time on the ball but I do worry about the prospect of him playing there in Europe starting with Astana next week (Rosenberg posed very little threat to us)

 

Mccart would be fine for us domestically cause we dominate possession that much haha but yeah we need a next level CB to partner jozo... Then we will be looking good for Europe

 

Been decent recently at cb but would rather Ajer got the playing time,so would move him on if we can.

 

He's strolling it at the moment but can he actually defend in that position, that is against top opposition? Playing him v Astana could be a master stroke or cost us dearly!(literally)

Needs to play on Fri with Simunovic to help build more understanding. The goal we lost v Hearts thought he should have gone and met the ball when Jozo was clearly struggling to get back.. it takes time to learn a new position not sure he's had enough going into the most important 180mins of our season.

However his passing ability from the deeper position, could just be the key that's needed.

After tonights performance alarm are bells going off that Bitton will get found out big time against quality opposition in Europe. Sorry I know Brendan can do no wrong in the eyes of most Celtic supporters but how did we end up in a situation where we are going into the two most important games of our season with Nir Bitton playing at Centre half.

Bitton is as much a defender as Forrest is a striker. We need this addressed for Wednesday.

Bittons a worry I know, but we have two centre backs out with injury. You can only pish with the * you've got.
