I reckon he's better at CB than midfield

 

Put in a shift when he came on. Was assured and really didn't put a foot wrong, especially when Rosenborg were on the front foot in the second half.

 

Well done big man, absolute class tonight. To think i was worried when he came on.

 

He is a better cb than erik done well tonight maybe he should play thetevall the time... if he starts eating and beefing up a we bit then he could be a real gem in that position

 

Fair play to Bitton thought he done a fantastic job when he came on. Kept it simple with his passing and made some good interceptions.

People complain that he slows the play down, I think that is a bad thing when he is playing midfield but I don't mind it so much when is at the back. His passing is good and is very comfortable on the ball. Hopefully he can take confidence from that and build on it. Don't see a place for him in the midfield but maybe after that performance tonight he could do a job at the back. He might not be fantastic in the air or the quickest but I personally think we could work on some things to mould him into a CB.

Others might not agree. I am aware that he played there in the friendly against Lyon and didn't have the best of games but he was fantastic tonight. Good ball playing CB.

I am not saying Bitton is the answer at CB. We still need to sign a centre half before anyone starts going crazy Just think if he can keep up performances like that he could do a good job there when needed.

 

Thought it was mental bringing him on at centre half but he was immense. Fair play to him.

 

Deserves a mention for tonight, could easily become a decent centre back option.

 

Good to see him earning some praise again.
