Sensation is a bit much, last season Forrest had some decent spells as well (Against Ajax/Aberdeen/Fenerbache) before he got frozen out with the contract talks. But he's still never been a top, top player when on his game.

He's been decent enough but nothing to get excited about when you see his name on the team sheet. Ask yourself if he had left this Summer where would he have ended up? No doubt Lenny would have wanted him at Hibs but it would have most likely been a Bristol City/Barnsley or the likes as that's his ceiling middle of the English Championship.

On Bitton yes I do rate him highly and like him but I will admit he is not having the best of seasons. I don't think he's having a poor one but he's not having a good one either. A middle of the road season for him so far.

On Brown that's correct I've never rated him but I'm not stubborn enough not to admit that he's been more or less great this season. His passing has improved, his tackling and his decision making has also got much better. He has chipped in with a couple of vital goals and has had quite a few standout performances in the middle of the park no doubt about it. I do still feel though going forward under Brendan in the coming seasons Brown will need fazed out to more of a squad player where we can bring in some real quality into the middle of the park.

You're kidding yourself on, regarding Bitton.

It's clear as day that he is the player in the first XI that needs to be replaced. He's the huge weak link right now. Brown has been phenomenal this season, and he's having to do a two man job by himself in midfield all too often.

He did, but did he look as good a goal threat as he has done this year? No chance. Was he as purposeful? No chance. Was his work rate and attitude spot on? Absolutely no * way!.

He's not and never will be top class, but the turnaround from all the above, by and large, has been remarkable. Rodgers straight away wanted him on a new contract and said he was one of a couple of standouts when watching Celtic from a far. How many manager's have said that here now about his talent? They can't all be wrong..

He's proved me and many other's wrong, no two way's about it, and is keeping an outstanding young player out just now. No mean feat. He'll be * some time's. I said it yesterday, but you can't ignore the drastic change..

Fair enough on Bitton and Broony. I think Bitton is a disgrace to his profession at the moment and is selling the fans short. A player absolutely no trying as much as the man next to him, which is unforgivable itself..

Broony will of course be rotated in the coming year's, due to age and decline..

He's had a few decent games this season and a few bad ones. If he was that bad Brendan would have benched him for a while by now.

A middle of the road season I think is a fair assessment.

Personally I think Bitton would suit more playing as the deep lying DM in a 4-3-3 formation with two either side of him. Basically like the Busquets role at Barca.

The only reason Bitton hasn't been dropped is because he's the only deep lying midfielder we have. Plus the fact that McGregor and Henderson aren't good enough, and neither is Armstrong really (based on how he's done in his year and a half here).

To play the Busquets role in a 433, he has to be good defensively...which he isn't.

Yep. If we had just one competent competition for Bitton, he'd of been scrubbed. I'd scrub him personally myself, and i bet Rodgers would've if he got his man in the window. He's been subbed, dropped and i think he'll be gone in the very next window..

I've seen him win the ball back cleanly from the opposition loads of times. Admittedly I've also watched him to my frustration give away needless mistimed fouls in danger areas and pick up silly bookings. Definitely something he needs to improve upon over the season.

The video above shows he can tackle though.

Anyone can make a tackle like that, hardly proves how great he is at defending.

Brown is on another level than Bitton when it comes to winning the ball back, just look at the game yesterday. Bitton is far too slow and lightweight, the sort of guy that pulls out of 50/50's. We need someone who is tough and won't be pushed over.

Opposition players will know they can get something out of Bitton, whereas they'll not be looking forward to playing against Brown. We really need a Kante type player. Obviously we'd be doing well to get anyone half as good as him, but that's the player we lack.

Anyone can't tackle like that c'mon man don't be silly. He's done that on many occasions as well from standing positions too.

Bitton is not a Wanyama/Kanta type. The only player I can really compare him to is Busquets style wise and before anyone starts saying I'm claiming Bitton is as good as Busquets I'm NOT just style and body type!

Except Busquets is good defensively. Bitton isn't.

Fine, he might make a good tackle every now and then. Wow.

Needs left out for Armstrong tomorrow. Hopefully he'll prove his worth again but he's not been very good for a while.

Scott Brown has been covering for him for ages. Maybe if he's dropped, it'll give him a kick up his *.

Biton is a big * bag. No ifs or buts he is. Plus he is too slow for Brendan,s system. Brendan has given him a fair crack at the whip and Biton has not upped his game. Plus he * me as he looks like he is dilly dallying about the pitch.

The only reason Bitom might continue to hold his place down in the team is because Brendan may feel it is best to keep him in the shop window to woo potential suitors in January, to drop him now might prove fatal to that projected theory.

He's been dropped a couple of time's this season already, and * lot of good that has done......

Maybe a wee reality check playing with the development side for 1 or 2 game's with Efe and Boyata might solve the solution, till he starts feeling his hammy again..

Bitton is pish end of conversation. He gives away needless fouls, slows down play playing sideward or backward passes every time he gets the ball.
I would cut our loses on him and sell him for the first decent offer and replace him with a proper defensive midfielder who can make a forward pass and tackle without giving away fouls.

For those who say he's can't tackle properly.

Watched some of the BMG game again and at the FK we won in the first it was him who won the ball back off Kramer which Rogic then latched onto before Kramer handled the ball giving away a FK.

It was a tremendously timed clean challenge from Bitton winning the ball back from a World Cup finalist German player.

He's quite clearly the one who needs replaced. At least he's in the shop window. Hopefully one of they halfwits down south panic buy him.

That's actually quite harsh as he'd be a good squad player.

Squad player, not a starter. Same with Forrest.

He's still fairly young and has showed in periods that he can be a top quality player. However just not he's not playing well at all and should be dropped in favour of Armstrong or Mcgregor. McCarthy in when January comes.
