Harry Kewell would've worked wonders with him, just like he did with Maeda.

 

Don't think he's been terrible, seemed to be a bit short of confidence at times and turned back a lot when he could have carried on or had a shot. Popped up with a couple of goals and assists and think he looked decent enough at times, in a season where not many were at the top of their game admittedly. I'll hold fire on labelling him a dud personally.

 

Has to be seen as a back up for next season and nothing more. Shown nothing to suggest he’s good enough.

 

I'm not going to write him off but he can't be more than back up this season. I couldn't see anything that told me he would be a guaranteed starter, the reality is Forest came in and took his place.

 

He apparently lost 2 stone during his time with dental.probs as he wasn't eating correctly due to the pain ... so maybe wasn't feeling 100 percent. I give him another go and I think he is a really good player

 

He's gonna do well this season.

 

Need to find out about this dental diet

 

I'll give him til January to prove himself. If he's still putting in sub par performances then I'd be looking to move him on shortly afterwards.

Not writing him off yet, but so far he seems like a player who just hasn't got "it", plays on the periphery of games and looks weak physically and mentally.

 

Spot-on. Don’t think he’s remotely good enough for where we’re hoping to go.

 

Can't question work rate and tracks back but sadly for 99% of our games in Scotland we don't really need wingers who track back we need wingers who can take run at players and take them on.

Just think from what we have seen so far we need a bit better.

Comfortably the best he's played. Playing like prime Paddy Roberts.

 

I know it's only pre season but that was a very promising display.

I sort of wrote him off but hopefully he can kick on this season.

He was superb.

But we also have to understand we were playing against a very open opposition, with a pretty poor backline.

Much of his play last season was considered ineffective due to the brick walls we play against in Scotland. It's up to Rodgers and the staff to negate that to get the best out of him.

He's definitely an asset to have.
