He's a great player and his workrate is so underrated, but there's no doubt anymore that there is a real mentality problem when things get tough. Great footballer; weak character. Pity.

 

I don't buy in to the nose out of joint patter since Jota signed..

I do reckon he's probably got his eye on a move though/or one lined up..

He's just going through the motions and as if he doesn't want to pick up an injury..

 

Aye I think he might have his eye on a move elsewhere.

Don't think we're getting the £30 million that was touted earlier on in the season, but I think we can still get £20 - £25 million for him.

If he kept up his first half of season form, then aye.....but unlikely now..

Im saying he's possibly eyeing or a move lined up....but could've some in January that we rebuffed..

Wouldn't surprise me one bit..

 

He symbolises the staleness of this side/season.

 

Guys only cares when he thinks he's the main man.

 

Been singing his praises most of the season but can't be denied that he's just not turned up against them, even in the final where he scored, his overall game was nowhere effective enough

 

Some weird use of language going around today

 

Probably referring to the decline in performances, lack of a plan B, players not at the races
mentality, you name it.

We might win everything this season but by * some of the football on show is stale.

See being fair I sense this staleness too. There were a lot of suggested reasons for it such as the long run of matches with no winter break, concentrating on finishing the job in the CL league phase, raised our game for Bayern etc but since we lost that tie and Queens Park beat them there does seem to have been large spells in games of going through the motions.

The January transfer window didn’t really help with that either as we failed to again strengthen the team from a strong place going into it.

I think the full club has a bit of a sleepy feel to it just now, a manager going into the last year of his deal, a team who seem to think they just need to turn up and tick the games off and a number of players playing well within themselves.

He just doesn't show up vs them.

 

What summed him up, lost the ball to Yilmaz in the 1st, made zero effort to track back, Johnston actually ran past him trying to get back..

His attitude was a disgrace today.
