I have a feeling this will be the basic price for the games unfortunately, hopefully not though as i already hate paying £40 for a game as it is. I think a 2nd controller is £54, so game rage will have to be kept at a minimal now or people will be skint :smiley-laughing002:

This is were download only could become useful using the correct pricing

Would you rather pay £55 for a game on a disc or say £30 for a direct download?

Although those wonderful people at EA still charge £45/£50 for a download which in my opinion is down right daylight robbery and greed

The mark up the must make on that

I can't stand EA, they are a disgrace and really shouldn't have such a big chunk of the market, I'm hoping that people lose interest in their generic crappy games and stop buying them so they struggle, companies such as Ubisoft are a lot more creative and creating games such as Watchdogs, EA don't have the imagination or the ability to create a game like that

Click on the product and you'll get this notice

I'd assume it's the same for Xbox One games, ignore the price stated, they're just covering themselves.

Here's the link for the full interview for anyone interested

He might as well have said "If you don't have an internet connection, buy a PS4 instead" :smiley-laughing002:

You would think Microsoft are desperate to kill off their own console with the way they've stumbled from one PR disaster to another over the last month.

Yeah I was talking to my uncle who is pro Xbox and always plays online. He said his main stumbling block is the price.. He never trades in games or buys them preowned.

He said he'll still buy it though as he can't get a proper feel for a Playstation controller.

Is majorly * off at the price though.

In fairness, not many people don't have Internet now, I'd imagine almost everyone that likes gaming has Internet.

I'm sure someone will do third party controllers for the PS4 with an Xbox layout, there's plenty out there for the PS3.

It was interesting to read Microsofts planned distribution of the ONE in Asia. Apparently they'll only be realeasing it in 'select markets' which as of writing this is Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and India. It's not too big a suprise that they haven't bothered with Japan at the moment seeing as the PS2 was outelling the 360 at one point.

In regards to the almost always online/internet connection requirement debate, I think MS are really going to damage potential sales in certain markets.

There was an article I read in relation to this and in the comment section there was a guy who is living in Brazil and he raised quite a good point. He claims the area in which he lives (and the rest of the country general) your average person dosen't have a particular good or reliable connection.

Now I don't know if what he claims is true but in countries like Brazil, India and other such nations that are emerging economies, many of them don't have particulary good (or at least I am led to believe they don't) internet connections; surely introducing a console which will arguably need a stable connection is a very stupid thing to do.

Thing is that no-one seems to notice that MS has beaten Sony to the punch with their regulations to beat piracy as the current Gen was hurt buy mods etc. Sony sucker punched MS with the price but the Exclusives make XBOne look more appealing especially Forza 5, Titanfall plus exclusive (timed i assume) Battlefield 4 DLC as well as a much better controller plus headset combo (Hello TB) i can see XBOne having a slow start but it wont be as clear as people think no matter the price PS4 doesnt include "the eye" which will cost around about 360-370 i guess

I could be reading what you've said incorrectly but are you reffering to mods as in what you see on the PC or straight up hacking on consoles because those are two completely different things.

Modding on PC is actively encouraged by some developers like Bethesda Game Studios. If you mean hacking and piracy then yes they are an issue but there are other ways to adress that.

I think it was Game Developer Tycoon that had a sort of DRM where if you played a pirated copy of the game, your 'company' goes bankrupt every single time no matter what. Serious Sam 3 I believe had an enemy that hunted you constantly and couldn't be killed if you pirated the game. I'm sure people found ways around this but at the end of the day it'll always happen no matter what.

The exclusives didn't do anything for me personally, the exclusives Sony have are either new entries in series I already like or new IP's that I prefer to what MS is offering (maybe that's just me being a fanboy). I also have no problems waiting an extra month or so for DLC.

The Playstation Eye was confirmed to be $59.99 in the US so that's about £40 here I think. Sony also confirmed that they don't think the Eye will add much to the majority of games anyway, it's only really for games that require the Move.

Nobody gives a * though, you can't sell a console by telling everyone how they're fighting piracy :smiley-laughing002: Not that piracy and mods have ever been much of a problem on the PS3 anyway.

As for the PS Eye, who cares? I have one for the PS3 and along with the Move controller I have it hasn't been used once. Gimmicky bullshit.

The US market is what will make or break the Xbox One because that's where the vast majority of Xbox sales come from anyway. If the Americans are happy with it then it will do okay, if they're not and decide that the PS4 is better value then the Xbox is pretty much *.

So Microsoft have now apparently revealed the 21 countries that ONE will be available in come November.

The console won't launch in Asia until late 2014 either, so I can't see MS doing to well in that market when Sony will probably have the PS4 out at the start of next year for Asia.

What is that thing has to be connected to internet every 24 hours for Xbox, what if you go on holiday or that?

What happens if it doesnt get connected?
