    I realise it's subjective but I can safely say Still Game is vastly superior to Month Python and Fawlty Towers. John Cleese is a *, to boot. As is Gervais, actually.

    Watched it twice , laughed more the second time.
    Buckled at the Winston coffin scene and the the kitchen one

    Can imagine a few people not being able to fully appreciate the credits scene , my mother who's never seen BB didn't get it at all

    Think it was weak again. Someone mentioned on Fb that it feels a bit sanitised and they have toned down the Scottish patter - aimed at a wide British audience, not just Scotland. I can sense that.

    The sneak peak for the third episode looks better, though.

    Many series are like that - takes them a few episodes to settle in.

    I thought Fridays show was pretty good,some real LOL moments.


    Noticed Victor saying 'the estate' though,instead of 'scheme' and it had me thinking they must've considered the UK audience.

    Aye, I think they have tweaked stuff a wee bit to be understood clearer and saying some stuff they wouldnt before. Like the 2 episodes so far they have said "balls" a few times. When nobody says balls we say baws. Like Eric "Im sweating like pavarottis ball bag", "ma balls are getting poached", "I'll seperate your balls" when has anycunt said balls in Still Game before this :97:

    Same when jack in the bath said "your may as well sticking potatoes in here" instead of totties which they would normally have said. Probably a few others as well.

    Seasons 1 5 were brilliant 6 was quite poor I thought although fly society is one of my favourite episodes "I've got a boat!" :56:

    The only bit I've laughed at this season is "Jack Jarvis concerned Craiglang pensioner"

    Thought this week was really good, people just love to moan though, can never be as good as the original in some folks eyes and that means it's *.

    There's only 4 seasons of python and Cleese wasn't in 1 so they made it shorter so it's not like it was dragged out. Was at one of the live shows and it was brilliant. * still crack each other up after all this time.
