When completed this stadium is going to be one of the most epic in Europe. Looks impressive now and it's not even finished. The old capacity was 60,000, it will be 67,000.
The unfinished stand will look like this...

Very impresive indeed. I wonder did they get any help from the French government to help pay for all that work. France are hosting Euro 2016 so I imagine that the government may be spending some of the money for all this work.

Was lucky enough to watch Marseille in a few games in the old stadium and it was the best atmosphere I have ever experienced at games so the new stadium should be out of this world .

Looks fantastic

To be honest I preferred it without a roof, the shape of the four stands gave it a really unique look. Obviously the stands aren't changing but now that they aren't simply juxtaposed against the sky they will lose a lot of visual impact.
This picture illustrates it perfectly, the open-air aspect is grand.
With a roof tying everything together it will look like a bland and samey bowl. -
I liked the old style but this new one is amazing, nothing bland about it.
And the roof keeps the sound in and improves the atmosphere. -

The roof is ugly from the inside but as mentioned it will probably help to double the noise inside.

Marseille's ultras don't exactly need a roof to intimidate opponents, they're fierce enough as it is! :smiley-laughing002:
Fancy Dan roofs are old hat, boring, everyone's doing them. The imposition of a cheap looking roof turns it from being France's most unique stadium with impressive tribunes into a generic snooze-fest. It strips away the ground's character, its essence, all for the sake of a half-baked attempt at conforming to de rigueur stadium design trends.
One-nill to modern football, yawn. -
Always wondered when they'd finish that stadium.
Let's hope Parkhead gets finished one day as well. -
We'll agree to disagree then.

It is, aesthetically speaking. Just look at those trusses, hideous.
