New NBA season

Win number 13 in a row for The Celtics came against the Indiana Pacers with the final score being 99-88, Undoubted star of the night was Boston captain Paul Pierce who had a triple-double of 18 points 12 assists and 10 rebounds, Pierce was supported by Nate Robinson and Glen Davis who also both had 18, while Ray Allen added 17 and Shaq in his return to action from injury added 11.

 

i watched 3rd quarter.. big baby was scoring from perimeter.. let's go celtics!

 

Think Baby scored 10 points in the last 6 minutes of the game, we may have lost it if it wasn't for him.

 

Is this thread just for my Boston Celtics or every other NBA team ?

i agree... he adds a whole new dimension to celtics game... his absence is obvious, esp. in last quarter...
defence was ok... nelson and j.j. reddick were lucky to make few last shots in 4th quarter...

celtics will be instoppable when rondo and perkins heals their injuries...

I'm beginning to think that when Rondo, Perk and Delonte West return Boston should pull the trigger on a trade, with Denver looking to move on Melo and JR Smith I think we should take a punt with an offer of Ray Allen, Nate Robinson and Jermaine O'Neal along with a couple of draft picks for these two. This would be a good move long term for the Cs especially as Anthony and Smith's contracts would fit into Boston's current 2 year plan.

 

another win tonite for the Celtics after a poor first half, they ran out winners 95-83 and trailed 1st 2nd 3rd quarters

 

Boston get back on track from their Christmas day loss to Orlando with a 95-83 win over Indiana, Paul Pierce despite being in foul trouble early on led all scorers with 21, Ray Allen added 17 and Kevin Garnett had 11 and 13 rebounds, off the bench for the Celtics Big Baby Davis and Marquis Daniels both also scored in double figures with them combining for 26 points.

Celtics against Detroit tonight, KG v Charlie Villeneuva, should be interesting. 12:30 GMT start.

The Celtics lose to Detroit after losing KG in the 1st quarter with a knee injury, The pistons where always comfortable with Paul Pierce's 33 points being the only bright spot for Boston.

 

well beaten and another injury to KG so lets hope its not too serious and he only misses a few games as we have more injuries than we need at present

 

Think Rondo will be back for fridays game against NO, thought that Jermaine O'Neal played a lot better last night but was very suprised at how little time Shaq spent on the court, he wasn't in foul trouble so I hope he doesn't have another injury.

Kevin Garnett will miss around 2 weeks for the Celtics, thank * for that because at first it looked serious...anyway Boston against New Orleans tonight, tip-off is at 8 o'clock GMT.

 

another loss at td garden tonite 81- 83 , celtic got blown away in 3rd quarter and are strugglin at this minute with injuries but hopefully garnett n rondo back soon

a convincing win 93-79 v raptors with pierce scoring 30pts and rondo back in starting 5 also ends a 2 game losing streak , next up tomorrow is the timberwolves in td garden

96-93 win for the Cs but they had to work real hard tonite

 

The Celtics win a scrappy one tonight, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 96-93, Boston were behind for most of the game before finally overturning the T-Wolves lead late in the 4th quarter, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen again where the mainstays for Boston with 23 and 20 respectively, Glen Davis added 17 and Rajon Rondo dished 16 assists in his second game back from injury and also hit two crucial baskets late on with Minnesota standing off him, another note is off the bench is Von Wafer had his best game with the Cs by chipping in 10 points and 6 rebounds in 15 minutes.

Big match-up tonight between the teams with the 2 best records in the NBA as the Boston Celtics entertain the San Antonio Spurs at the Garden...At half-time the Spurs lead by 51-49, Ray Allen top scoring for the Cs and in the game so far with 14, Glen Davis has added 11 and Paul Pierce 9 with 5 rebounds, Rajon Rondo also has 5 boards and is looking fully recovered from his injury as he also has already racked up 11 first half assists.

The Boston Celtics win a thriller against the league leading Spurs in The Garden with Rajon Rondo's triple double of 22 assists, 12 points and 10 rebounds the highlight of the night as the Cs survive a last 45 seconds collapse to win 105-103 . Top scoring in the game was Ray Allen with 31, Glen Davis added 23 and Paul Pierce 18.

 

yip a game they nearly lost with some stupid play in last minute or so but fortunately they managed to hold on and take SAS scalp

 

ray ray was magnificent... good decision not to let him go at end of last season...
big baby could get award for most improved player if he continue to play at this level...
when perkins west recovers from injury... we'll be unstoppable..

 

tonite is a visit from the raptors so lets hope for another win at home and with rondo in top form this should be hopefully a comfortable win for the Cs
