We need a younger Trapattoni. His principles would fix everything that is wrong with us right now.

Muscat been mentioned plays like Ange I'd take him or anyone that can coach a team to play the same way

Maybe we missed a trick in not sacking BR and getting in Glasner, whos gone to Crystal Palace.

That would just seem like desperation now. If he was ever getting the job it should have been when Ange left he was the continuity candidate

Ange was a hard act to follow and we look like we'll probably avoid relegation this season so I'd say Rodgers is just as qualified as him.

It'll be Moyes in to win us the Europa Conference League.

No idea if it's close to being true, but it smacks of Celtic all over. Lazy.

    Ffs Moyes.

    One dinosaur to another.

Luckily for us, I see no reason for Moyes leaving West Ham.

We need a "dinosaur". Modern possession-based ideas got us to be the laughing stock of Europe, and are now making us second best in Scotland.

The game has moved passed this 'modern possession based idea'.

We've already got a dinosaur. What's the point in replacing one with another?

We need someone with new ideas - Muscat, Knutsen etc.

Knutsen is closer to Moyes. I'd be delighted with either, but the board must be chased out first.

In the absence of any sporting structure at Celtic, the importance of having an ambitious, strong minded 'manager' as opposed to technically gifted 'coach' cannot be underestimated.

I wonder if our summer and Jan windows would have been different with Ange as 'manager' here?
I strongly suspect yes, unlike BR who's only recently (metaphorically) getting off his * from his Majorca sun lounger - he is only the 'coach' after all.

This is my option right now.

He was "perfect" for the Sevco job, only they were petty, and didn't want to look like they were following us.

They guy was an absolute SCUMBAG as a footballer. Total * animal. But hes a more than competent coach, has a good reputation across Asia, plays attacking, pressing football, and wouldn't give a fiddler's * about Sevco.

More importantly, he's desperate to follow Ange. He's been following Anges footsteps since his coaching career began, and would give his balls in a cup to bring us success, and by extension, hit that euro recognition marker.
Instead we get "it's the players fault" Rodgers, hammering square pegs into round holes, and yapping nonsense like "we were never 7 points ahead" and "Rangers are always coming", whilst the most profitabile title in the history of Scottish football goes down the *.

Knutsen is always gonna be my first pick. But the guy is a * greedy oddball.

I'd take Muscat tomorrow. We need a no nonsense *.
Not a * playing Mr Nice Guy.

Yep. I'd give Muscat the job, no problem.

Think he would've carried on Ange's legacy here and one I was desperate for the huns not to get.

I 110% would gamble on Muscat over Rodgers. We know how the season ends with Rodgers.

The board will think we're being over dramatic and won't listen to the noise or pressure though.

Then in May when we have nothing to show for this season, they'll act surprised.

Board are *, Rodgers is * useless. No scouting. No recruitment. No player pathways for youngsters.

What exactly are we doing on or off the pitch?

From a continuity perspective he was worth looking into.

That being said, he's just recently joined Shanghai Port so he's probably off the table.

Just watched the video of him on sky. I agree it does sound wrong in that accent but liked a lot of his philosophy and some very similar styles of play to Ange.

Was actually quite keen on him getting it in the summer based on his work at Salzburg, which would be similar job to ours in terms of being the big fish in small pond and then having to step up in europe.

I do quite like the red bull style of play if not the actual brands themselves

I heard an interesting insight yesterday 2nd hand from someone in the football department about Ange and his approach that might explain why at previous clubs a third season has often seen a fall off.

Apparently Ange was we never stop to the extreme, the team were given very little time off and asked to put in extreme high levels in terms of application to training, games etc.

It is a professional sport and they are athletes so that is to be expected to a degree but being put in such an environment will eventually catch up with some especially if you try and incorporate a lot of new faces.

Therefore, could there be a case Rodgers has come in and his ask of the players has saw standards dropped and some of the players still here or brought in have dropped off by being given a little bit of slack.

In addition, is it a surprise we have seen so many players breakdown this season that had injuries from the end of last season carry over. All of Abada, Hatate, CCV, Maeda and Johnston had injuries near the end of the season and missed game time impacting some of their preseasons.

I guess it’s one thing Muscat coming into play the Ange style but does he bring that intensity that Ange did and even if he did would we have been able to sustain performances levels or has fatigue played a part in this too?
