Well, I think this is where our debate maybe draws to a close then.

I've seen enough in what Tony Mowbray is trying to do to suggest that he should have atleast until this time next season before people start calling for his head. We're creating between 20-30 chances a game and there are a handful of elements which are scuppering us outside of our poor defensive records. I acknowledge these, other people are too quick to say "this is a results business".

The level of expectation of this club and ultimatley, the board, has been the same for a long time now, ie. domestic dominance and to make strides in Europe. Now, it's the fans level of expectation which has been raised by themselves (internet forums don't help in all honesty!:56:)because of the success that we've had poured on us in the last 10 years.

I'm not one of these fans that thinks success should be delivered regularly on a plate and I am prepared to go a year or two winning NOTHING in order to achieve long term glory, but that's just me.

fair dues m8. it comes down to the fact that i'm not seeing what you're seeing but we both can agree that we want the same thing in the end. hopefully weather mogga stays or goes, the ending is what we want in the end.

rangers won the league last year so how did we have better players at the start of this season its more less been the same team weve been using up until january now moggas bought players who for the most part have been good - Keane-rassa -fortune- hooiveld, kamara

i think the solution is to get mobray liquored up before a game so hes really into it, showing some sort of emotion while hes watching, im sure its not motivating anybody on the pitch im just sittin there, but maybe hes just as frustrated as we are

ill put up with him, maybe even support him, until summer, after that, i cant say "well weve gotta give him time" over and over

but right now, sacking him would be a terrible thing to do, send us into another transitional period of * thatll spill over onto next season

on a side note, the attitude towards fortune, samaras (who is off form right now so i understand peoples criticism), and mcgeady, is irrational, and moronic, look in the mirror and say this to yourself "i want celtic to be a feeder club" and see if you feel good sayin it, if we ship off players as they come on and off form, celtic will become that, a bloated hibernian look-alike feeder club, and scottish football will die along with it

i dont think whining constantly or booing our own players is helping

So was you in favour of keeping John Barnes? He had 1 transfer window, or is that hypocritical?

Fergie had won loads for Aberdeen previous - his success with an unfancied team earned him that patience. And didnt you read Martin Edwards book (Man U chairman)? He said if Fergie didnt win that League Cup that Sunday he was for the sack Monday morning.
P.S And when Fergie took over Man U where a middling team - Not the richest team in their league 100times over.

from a talent standpoint we had better players than the huns in august. because they lost the league to the huns last year only means they underacheived. now mogga brings in his own players and we don't gain on the huns at all. it wasn't the players before and it isn't the players now

any manager who takes robbie keane off for samaras because he offers 'more defensive protection' (*) should be immediately sacked. Couldn't believe N'Geumo was subbed, absolute disgrace. Mowbray arrogantly decided the game was won and made needless changes. Serves the 'sack Strachan' brigade right. This is what happens when you give a guy who relegated a team the year before the job of a team looking to win things. You wouldn't believe Mowbray was a defender himself considering how rubbish ours are

Yes our defence was bad today, I knew they would score from that corner at the end, in fact I've never seen anything like it, watching them line up to defend free kicks makes you want to laugh, or cry, but where was our midfield? Aberdeen seemed to stroll thru midfield & besiege our goal.I admit I've never been a fan of N'Guemo but just accepted people were seeing something I wasn't. Also I don't remember many tackles from Brown.
Looking at Mowbrays demeanour,& Peter Grants I think we could be reaching a point of no return.
He may want to leave now if he could, but even if he stays to the end of the season, it could be a very, very long haul.

im not comparing fergie and mogga im saying its the same principle , sacking managers and bringing in new ones doesnt gaurantee success sometimes having FAITH and giving them more than 1 season can go a long way in the long run

Call me controversial, but I'd have kept Barnes 'til the end of that season then assessed where to go from there.

The massive difference with which you fail to highlight is that managing Celtic was Barnes' first job outwith being a footballer whereas Mowbray has cut his teeth in the SPL with Hibs and had a good crack at the EPL after pumping the Championship rotten with WBA, both of which teams he was given more than 2 transfer windows to get things going the way he wanted it to.

agreed. watching them line up to defend a corner was agonising over and over. did anyone else notice that 3 straight corners had nobody defending the far post?

Loovens is total pish, and he's a Dutch international, same as Braafheid.

Why anyone expects the lad Hooiveld to turn us around is a mystery to me.

He's as good as unknown here (in Holland) and they are desperate for cb's, or they wouldn't have even tried Glenda the Jessie.

doubt paul would touch the job

Of course he would, he would jump at it. Celtic are a huge club - he's at Norwich in League 1. He's a Celtic fan and he would return as soon as he was given the chance. It wouldn't surprise if Henrik joined him on the tocuhline considering they are good friends. If it was Lambert and Lenny do you think we will hear the same guff as we did when lennon signed - they are too similiar and will never be able to work together

As someone who spent a large amount of money today and all season following my team i believe i am not any less of a fan just because i am criticising a totally inept manager and team. Doesn't make anyone bad fans just because they are not accepting the mediocre performances which shouldn't be seen from a Celtic team
