Anyone who agrees with sacking TM need to look beyond the next result! If you can't see the improvement in the team(defence aside) there is really no pleasing you. Every team has frailties, even the really good ones. But it seems the only response from some celtic fans these days is 'sack the manager'. It's no good for the team or the manager to be surrounded with this negativity from our own fans. It's not a case of asking people to suck eggs, the club & manager have been straight & truthfull with us all this season, just back the team & tony for a change. I've already stated that i think the league is out of our grasp now but will not dragged into the hate mob that infects our good club.

Sack him now.

He cant motivate the team.

At least then we might have a crack at the cup.

i think we have to keep him, he has improved the attacking side of the game, if he gets a chance to focus his attention on defending in the next window he should be able to do something there to. plus if he goes i think most of our loan players will to. i dont think they will stay for a new manager at the club. what little chance we have of keane staying will be over and i dont think kamara or braffheid wood either.

Do we all ignore the incontrovertible evidence that Mowbray is a dud of a manager...

37 competitive games...17 wins....11 draws...9 defeats..scored 64...conceded 42...

14 wins out of 25 in the SPL...a league which is a two horse race........

5 defeats in those games...the same number of defeats as Hibs and Dundee utd....FFS Motherwell have only lost 6...

we have conceded 19 away goals in the SPL.....only 3 teams have a worse record...and they are all in the bottom 4...

to date he hasn't managed six games unbeaten...never mind six consecutive wins...

and yet some posters seem to think that we don't lack organisation..

here are some more facts to chew on regarding Mowbray's tenure of the club..

1-0 up at home to the Huns..12 mins left

1-0 up away at Tannadice...7 mins left

3-2 up at Falkirk....7 mins left

4-2 up at Pittodrie..17 mins left.

1-0 up at home to Hibs after 5 mins..

1-0 up away to Hearts after 21 mins..

how can you only get 3 points out of 18 from that set of circumstances.....

and that doesn't include the phenomenal achievement of holding Motherwell, Falkirk and Dundee Utd to draws in home games..and becoming the first Celtic manger to lose to Kilmarnock in about 1000 years...

is 3 points from 12 in those 4 games an acceptable return...given the respective resources of those clubs as against ours...

is 6 points from those possible 30 a sign of a competent manager...

please feel free to debate with me.....please enlighten me as to the skills and talents which Mowbray has as a coach/manager. which seem to be fairly well hidden to me at this juncture

Because he continues to keep all the forwards on instead of changing tactics just for once like flooding the mf to make it harder to play through us. Considering we've also been playing a makeshift defence for parts of the season, that is shocking. His good football does work to get us in the winning position but the sign of a GOOD manager is to change it to ensure you get a win.

Can't argue with that..
If we were losing the lead very occasionaly it would be acceptable but it's happenned countless times this season and only our decent play from strikers has got us out of jail on occasion.. It's happened too often to be put down as isolated incidents or bad luck..

THIS is the sort of thing that * me off.

It's sheer arrogance to imply that playing the other SPL teams is merely a formality and gaurenteed full points.

What's gonna happen if Hibs win the league next season, is you're head going to implode? Will you be outside Celtic park with a giant banner wanting the board, management and coaching staff, players and the tea lady out?

Heaven forbid other teams have had that bit of extra desire to do us over. There have been several reasons, outside of our crappy defending, to explain the majority of defeats that we've suffered this season, but too many people, yourself including, can't see past the coming weekends result.

Nothing will ever be good enough for fans like you.

Try looking at the forrest, not just the tree's.

I remember MON losing at Kilmarnock and TB losing there as well 2-0 off the top of my head. I just think we're too one dimensional that there's no Plan B if things aren't going right

Realistic next Celtic Managers

When Mogga goes (which in all likelihood could be soon) who realistically do you want in as the next Celtic manager, or alternatlve, who will the board go after.

And when I say realistically, that doesnt mean Guus Hiddink or Jose Mourinho!

Bearing in mind, we have been knocked back by a life long Celtic fan, who managed BURNLEY at the time, i would say we could count out any Premiership managers or top half Championship bosses.

I think Mark Hughes, simply because he is out of work could be an option, but we would need to work fast, and he would use it as a stepping stone back to the premiership.

Paul lambert
John Hughes
Darren Ferguson

is probably the type and level of managers we would be realistically looking at brining in from now on, I think our expectation level must be lowered massivly, as the Owen Coyle sage was a giant boot in the mouth for more than 1 reason.

I don't think Mowbray will be leaving any time soon, the board have backed him to the hills with all the players they have let go & come in.
But in the near future when Mowbray does leave, I think Paul Lambert will be Manager..
