Ah *. Think I'm just only recovering now from 3 days of hardcore boozing.

All the best to Gordon Strachan who done a marvellous job. I also think that he has left a legacy of a great squad and the best infrastructure in the reserve and youth setup that we've ever had.

That's all I can be arsed typing, but with Strachan tipping McGhee in the paper today I wonder if it will be him. He might not be that highly rated by supporters but he seems to be highly rated in football in general.

I was after an A-lister, but for someone with a quality rep to come here and sup from the poisoned chalice, I think the chances are we'll be in for an up and coming manager. So it's probably between McGhee, Mowbray and Levein.

I think any of that three could do a good job but I'm leaning toward Mowbray with his attractive style of play, but think Levein would be very interesting but it would be a bold move by the board.

Henrik Larsson is the man for me. But realistically Levein or Mogga

He's had no experience other than the Croatia under 21 and full team. In which time he has been applauded by almost every manager who has faced him and has been consistently viewed as the no. 2 international manager in the world. As a player he was championed for his defensive displays and as a manager is regarded as one of the most hard working and tactically astute. As a result, Hiddink has said he should be his replacement at Chelsea, as well as that he has been linked to numerous jobs down south. Simply put, he is a good manager. Getting him would be fantastic, far better than any other name being banded about. but it looks ever more difficult.

One bit of mind games from Walter and it'll spell the end for Celtic FC. We'll be in the first division in about 10 years.

I think that the board will go for someone out of work. No compo to be paid. O'Leary, Curbishley, Coppell, Keegan. I'd even go for Sven

A first time manager for me would be a big step backwards.

Someone with under 5 years in a managers position still has a lot to learn and I would rather keep them in mind for the future if they prove they have what it takes.

Below is a blog from the bbc
    bbc.co.uk/blogs/simonaustin/2009/05/experience_matters_in_manageme.html
I could not post the link you will have to copy and paste it and add www

If we want to do well in europe we need experience in the manager as we can't spend the same amount on players as most of the teams we will meet so we need someone who knows how to get the best out of average players, and has proved that they can over a period of time.
