    I like the way pm's or long post are saved while typing them up, I suffer from fat finger syndrome on my mobile and many times have accidentally hit something and had to retype the thing again....this automatic save draft is a godsend :57:

    Agreed, I'm getting used to it the more I use it....I'll be honest I hated it at first but needs must and it was either accept it or move on....I'm afraid you guys are stuck with me for the foreseeable future :58:

    I think the more you have a look around and post on the site, the more you get used to it, and enjoy it.

    It had to be done, and the work CM has, and is still doing behind the scenes, should be applauded.

    The old place was falling around us, so the fact we have a new site, with the same community, is a bonus for everyone who wants to remain a member of TalkCeltic.

    It's not a big problem. A big problem would have been looking for an entirely new forum to join. Attempting to settle in, and create a character.

    That's all in place here, so it may take time to really settle, but it will, and the old site will soon become a distant memory.

    Exactly Paul, I've tried other forums and don't like them at all, there's a real community spirit on here and I know everyone, or at least most users. Better having a new set up to get used to than a whole new forum and bunch of people.

    Well done to Celtic Mad, it can't have been easy but he's done a great job :50:

    I'm sure as time goes by everyone will get used to it and be happy to continue using it.

    Didn't like the new layout at first, but it's very impressive and much much better than the Oldco site.

    Infact, everything pretty much about the new site is far, far better - loads of nice wee touches from yer man CM!

    BTW - just out of curiosity, how exactly did he go about moving the site, or updating it.....or whatever it was that he done?

    Never use the site always tapatalk but when the new site was out tapatalk was not workin so had to use the site thought it was cracking

    Not all quick reply boxes on forums have those kind of formatting options. Some just allow you to type in a message and nothing else. They are also usually optional.

    You must be someone who always used the quick reply option over the full post window.

    In most communities when clicking a reply button on a post it takes you to a full post window, in this case it just adds a quote to the quick reply box. This is not how most forums on the Internet work. It could be confusing for some who expect a reply button to open a reply window.

    Most people will go to a thread, try to find the post reply button and click it, expecting it to open a full post window. In this new forum software, doing that leads to an error because this forum doesn't even have a full reply window.
    It forces everyone to use a quick reply box. Which is 100% not standard internet forum design.

    You haven't addressed the error message either. :43:
