Interesting how their kit is made by the GAA company O'Neills. I know O'Neill's make kit for a few football teams in Ireland as well but thought it was interesrting.

When it comes to club kits and this thread, you are quite possibly the most melodramatic person alive :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::rolleyes:

It's a sodding tree; who do they think they are, Nottingham Forest?

Only if their fans voted for it, we decide, if we have a sponsor, regardless of money offered

That's not what I'm getting at, saying 'we're not going to have a sponsor' is all well and good when no company in their right mind is actually going to throw any dosh at you; don't paint if out to be some sort of lofty moral endeavour.

Why else would they vote not to have a sponsor, that's exactly the reason they don't have one,

It's a completely frivolous stance for a club at their level to take, that's all I'm saying.

If it results in an unspoiled kit then I'm all for it, but that's purely from an aesthetic standpoint.

How is it frivolous, they are turning down £50k a year, and the reason they do that is, like you say, an unspoiled shirt, they should be commended

What is their attendance like relative to the rest of the clubs at their level? They're on an upward trajectory regardless of a little cash infusion, as soon as they start coming up against clubs with means they'll have to change the policy to compete.

Only if two thirds of the fans vote to change it,
their higher attendances, than other club's in the league, is more than cancelled out by the £5k per game they pay to rent Gigg Lane

very true they won't last if they keep knocking back sponsorship money once they get to leagues with money

Very nice. Unsponsored shirts look so much better.
