Here's to the real Beram Kayal for the rest of the season!

"I'm very happy to sign this new contract with Celtic," Kayal said. "I came to Celtic last season and I've enjoyed it very much. I feel at home here and I want to be at the club for a long time.

"The fans have been magnificent and I want to thank them all for their support. I will do everything for the club and the manager to achieve success.

"It was the manager who wanted me here and I want to achieve things for him, the club and all our supporters."

Kind of puts the rumours to bed.

Hopefully this will shut up the fans who thought he wasn't interested and wanted away. Also hoping it'll mean he starts putting in some better performances and gets back to his old self.

Still have a feeling he will leave us in the summer, maybe January. This just means that he will be earning a bit more money before he goes.

Hopefully he books up his ideas!

Not really, I stated it wasn't necessarily anything to do with a transfer, more to with change in agents. Kayal wanted more money, hence the fall-out. Glad it's been resolved.

Let's be honest, he decided he wasn't fit for us but ok for Israel? He couldn't be arsed on Saturday and sulked. They did fall-out, I'm glad its been resolved.

I think you'll find he wasn't even in the matchday squad for Israel yet started for Celtic a couple of days later.

Which kind of puts your theory to bed.

Last week? In their meaningless qualifier that they dropped various players for? Convenient that you ignored my points about him deciding he wasn't fit at Tynecastle only to fly out to Israel 16 hours later. Or the fact that 99% of fans who watched the game on Saturday could see he was sulking, trying to prove a point and didn't bother his * trying. It wasn't merely a poor performance, he done it deliberately. The issue has since been resolved. I had heard the same story from quite a few sources, some from people with links to the club.

You are dodging the facts :56:

He DIDN'T play for Israel, nor was he on the bench. He DID play for Celtic from the start only a few days later.

The contract negotiations have been taking place for months, not since Saturday afternoon. The renewed contract is not the result of some sort of peace talks.

I am not dodging facts, he didn't play for Israel last Wednesday, not due to an injury, due to the manager resting several players. You're the one who keeps conveniently ignoring the facts to suit your argument, the fall-out was due to the terms offered to Kayal, which he felt weren't suitable. He made his point by claiming injury at Tynecastle, then flew out to Israel 16 hours later - Fact. On Saturday, he walked onto that pitch and put in a pitiful 'performance' in which he didn't even slightly try, letting down his teammates, manager and fans in the process. It wasn't a bad performance, he simply didn't make an effort again making a point. Clearly things have been resolved and I bet he will be back to his old self this weekend, thus showing he pretty much chose to sulk away on Saturday.
