New Champs League Results only thread

Just played Ache. He beat me 2-0 then 3-2. (Barca v Man Utd.)

I was well beaten in the first game. But the second game I was up 2-1 and making chances. To be fair I thought I had the game in the bag. Then my controller kept pulling straight down. I tried to play on. Said to Ache to play on. I had to use my other controller as the other one is totally unusable for the time being. The other controllerh (this sounds like making an excuse) is * terrible. It is by far the least accurate controller I have ever used.

I don't want to replay the game or anything like that. As, although I am moaning I am not making excuses. The other controller also switches itself off, which incidentally I conceded a goal because of. There's no point moaning as it's the only other controller I own and will have to buy a new one at the next opportunity.

Fantastic games, ynwa1987 plays a fantastic passing game and seemed to be very tactically astute, managing to dominate possession and create awesome counters. Great player and the only person to take points off me in the group. Well played mate

Is this right? Ache, that is just insane mate 9 wins out of 10, Barca or no Barca that's why I wanted you in this Tourney, your just such a top player, everyone will be wanting to avoid you.

I can't help but thinking there's guna be an 'El Classico' Mark v Ache coming up soon, that will be the potentially the best game TC has ever seen.

It's seeded for next stage of Tourney in the knockout round, 1st from groups will play 2nd from groups and 3rd from Europa will play the 4th place teams.

 

Yeah that's right mate. The next stage is going to be amazing. So many good sides.

 

I actually want to make a point after my moaning about the last game.

You hammered me in the first game! haha!

Talk Celtic beware, Messi is an unbelievable weapon in Ache's arsenal! I was lucky I had Valencia at right back. If it wasn't for his pace Messi would have caused more damage.

Good games mate, first score line flattered me. I never got going the second game, you neutralised me well and kept the ball really well.

gonna be interesting to see who gets the second CL spot.

 

Cheers mate, two pretty tight games.

After going one up in the first game I conceded far too quickly and lost my way, took until I was 1-3 down to start playing again and got it back to 3-3, felt I had the better of the game for a while after that but when you went 3-4 up I lost it completely, couldnt string a pass together or put a tackle in.

Started the second game * off and just went for it, annoyed with myself now that I couldn't play like that in the first. The clock disappeared in the second half for me so I was getting a bit nervy after a while and near * myself when you scored until I seen it was on the 90th minute!!

 

Yea seem to remember you missing a good chance at 3 each in the first game, probably the turning point.

Too little too late for me in the second game.

Will be good when all the games are complete to get a proper look at who we might be drawn against, and start building strategies to attack any weaknesses. :bbpd:

I can't think of the last time I didn't make a Semi Final of any tourney, going back a while I think, 2010 I think Raz beat me in a Champs league quarter final, I don't intend to do that again, I'm here to win! Fighting talk baby yeah!

Like I say, by far the hardest tourney I've played in.
