    Imagine it.
A broken down Boruc screaming at himself when he makes a mistake.
Robson on the touch line with a loudspeaker.
McDonald going into a sulk with himself.
Brown taking the game even easier.

At present we have no one in our team with the qualities needed for management, hope one is brought in and soon.

To me it has to be someone in the spine of the team, and not a keeper. Someone that leads by example that tackles hard, runs all day and is constantly involved. So i wouldnt mind seeing Brown with the armband, the extra responsability could mature him as a player and bring the best out of him. If not brown then id persist with McManus.

I'd have to go with Boruc, Robson's a good call, but he ain't in the team at the moment. However it does raise the question of being made of the right stuff to be a Celtic captain.

You should look to your captain to inspire the team, apart from Boruc I don't see too many natural leaders who could inspire this team. When you think of the likes of Big Billy, Roy Aitken, Paul Mc Stay and Neil Lennon as past captains, leaders are definitely in short supply throughout the current pool of players.

So let's buy a couple of good solid defenders in January, pick a defender who really does inspire our team, let's get a bit of spirit back into the Celtic team !!! :huddle:

Boruc for me... I reckon all the other players are afraid of him. So they will probably listen to him lol

There is no-one in our team who deserves captain's armband.

Well LOL I screwed that up. I voted for other when I meant to vote for Boruc. For me he is back to his best. He has been here 4 years and clearly has grown to have a real deep affection for the club and what it means to be a Celtic player. He has indicated he would be open to signing a new contract and staying at Celtic long term and I think making him Captain might help with that.
When you watch him on the field after another screw up in front of him he is always getting after whoever messed up verbally. He is by far the leading candidate for me.

Equally without a doubt for me neither McManus or Caldwell are Celtic captains. They just don't seem to provide any real driving leadership on the field either verbally or with their play.
