    Music has the same exact philosophy as books when it comes to albums.
    I'm sure all of us have seen at least one album that has a terrible album art, but the music it contains is epic.

    I remember reading an interview with John Frusciante once where he said he sometimes went into record shops just to buy albums that he liked the look of.

    Aye, the Nevermind one is a bit weird. I don't like the album art of 'Black Holes & Revelations' but love the music on it.

    Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown immediately springs to mind, if I wasn't such a huge fan already I would look at that and think "derivative emo *". It's still more leaning in that direction than I'd like a Green Day album to be but it's still a good album, just not one of their best.
