Tactics and team selection were extremely poor tonight. Hopefully Lenny & Co will pull the finger out next week and put a team on the park that are capable of winning. That means not playing Stokes on the wing and Samaras through the middle. Stokes is a born striker and as such should always play through the middle.

I was never happy with his appointment.

Parkhead is no place for a novice manager.

    For what? The Celtic job?
Has Lennon actually won a game in Europe as manager yet?
Last season at times we just steam-rollered SPL teams, but as soon as it comes to having to take a different approach (Hamilton, ICT, League Cup Final) we seem to lack something.

I don't want to start bashing, but an exit from the Europa Qualifiers is just not on. Not again.

Edit: And if he cannot face dropping Commons and Brown then he should not be a manager. That's what kills managers careers - being loyal to players who give nothing back in performances.

I think it is too early to make any sort of judgement on Lenny yet. If we go out of Europe so early again it will be an utter disaster, but I am still hopeful.
This team is better than most people are making out and it is only half time.

4-5-1 at home vs weaker team who even said they'll be happy with a draw is plain stupid. I know Hooper, Kayal and Izaguirre were injured, but we had enough players to put them into their most effective positions.

Ledley is * on left wing, especially now with Mulgrew behind him. Commons' best position is left winger, that's obvious to everyone bar Lennon.

Stokes on the wing... just no.

Hopefully in second leg we have Kayal and Hooper back, so we can play usual 4-4-2. Sion will play at home, but from tonight we've seen they are nothing to be afraid of. I firmly believe we can dominate and win the way we play in SPL. Just because it's Europa League match doesn't mean we should change our game.

Ledley cant play LM best position is CM.

Brown cant play CM best position is RM.

Commons cant play RM best position is LM.

Samaras and Stokes cant play together as they both play out in the flanks. The only way these 2 should ever be on the same pitch is when we are playing 3 up front with someone actually a goal threat in the middle.

Really disappointed with this tonight as this was a very winable game. I hope Lenny learns from this and we see an improvement on Sunday and then in the return leg.

He is still inexperienced in Europe. It is games like this where Lenny will earn the most valuable experience. I have every bit faith in Lenny to guide us through the away game next week. He wont make the same mistake twice

He has to be,because we cant afford another managerial transition period. His weakness is when we have a few key players out,his team selection and tactics take a nose dive.Still got faith in him, just turned 40 so still learning.Hopefully he'll get tactics spot on next week.

Your not allowed to ask that. Lenny is above criticism or 'he is just learning his trade'. All I will say is the jury is still out. He has done some good things in terms of spotting players but I am not impressed by him tactically. He seems to run out of ideas at times. Also, what ever happened to the cavalry charges and last minute goals we were famous for for years? In MON or WGS's time I think we would have had half the team in the box and pumped it in non-stop for the last 10 minutes.

    Just for talking sake .

That's quite a big statement knowing that Celtic don't travel well ,There record away from home in Europe speaks for itself ,,Lennon might not make the same mistake twice but we are now underdogs in this tie going by our record away ,We also know that Sion have goals in them and are up near the top of there league or are top ,they went to Basel and came away with a 3-3 draw so i don't think there mugs although some of the Swiss posters might disagree with that .

Celtic should and could have put this tie to bed tonight but mistakes were made when really nothing needed tampered with ,On paper we have the players to take us through this tie but being away from home in Europe is my concern ,regardless of who we play.

I would never let a nil nil draw be the catalyst for questioning his position tbh.

I'm overall happy with his tenure and where we are headed. Mistakes will undoubtedly be made but better and more experienced managers then Lennon make those mistakes.

If he goes to Sion and employs the same tactics with the same personnel is when you start to worry but up until now he has been distinctly once bitten and twice shy. The biggest case in point being the calamity that was the first game against the huns at Parkhead last season and the complete 180 from then on against them. He definitely learns from his mistakes.

The board have taken the * out of Lennon who improved the team in a big way last season. A lot of us knew we weren't good enough however and needed 4 players. We've got one of those 4 in Forster.

Injuries happen and that's why I wanted a Left Back even before Izaguirre got injured! Mulgrew looked lost there tonight.

Nothing to do with experience in Europe imo. Lacks tactical know-how and how to react when required. Happened on quite quite a few times now. However Really like the guy and has so many good qualities and really want him to do well and be our boss. Just hope ihe can sort this problem out.
