We're not in top form but people are mostly just * themselves about 10 in a row.

Since Lennon came back we have won 39, drawn 6 and lost 3 out of 48 League games. That kind of League form is impossible to beat really and it doesn't look in any real danger of not continuing.

2.56 points per game or 97 points per season even if we dip a fair bit the League most likely will be won.

In comparison, Gerrard has 50 wins 14 draws and 10 losses with the huns. Averaging 2.21 points per game or 84 points per season.

We wont win the league if hes as bad as you make out because the huns are winning regularly, a bad manager would not win this league because too many points would be dropped. If Neil Lennon wins 10 in a row he will deserve all the praise in the world in what is going to be highly pressurised season. Please remember to attend the unveiling of the statue in a few decades time when people realise the enormity of what this man has given to Celtic.

Disgusted with the comment 'if we win the league this year it will be in spite of Lennon, not thanks to him', if you cant thank be thankful towards the man if he delivers 10 in a row it says a lot more about you than it does about Neil Lennon. Poor attitude mate seriously, we're * Celtic supporters for * sake get behind our manager, in this season of all seasons he should be backed to the hilt. There is no man I would love to see more lift our tenth league title in a row, our joy will be the huns pain when this happens and I have every faith in Neil Lennon to finish what he started 9 years ago.

I'll admit, some of our performances are making me a bit more on edge due to the 10. Still confident we'll do it with the depth we have but still makes me edgy..

    Going out against Ferencvaros/no striker
The Boli incident and being 2 game's behind off the back of dropped point's at Killie
The talk of unrest behind the scene's

We've been grinding away and getting by purely on our quality and still top of the league..

We will eventually click. That's when it'll be ominous for everyone else..

Lenny admitting Broony will need to take a back seat at times this season so he does see it!

You're 100% right mate. I honestly cant believe what the * Im reading on here at times. I dont know if this coming from a generation of Celtic supporters that have been spoiled by our success in recent years or its just the usual hot air and pish that you tend to get on social media/forums, but either way its really disappointing to see.

I don’t think it’s far fetched at all to suggest that our team is so superior on paper to the rest of the league that we could take any manager in the league and we’d still have a very good chance to win it. It doesn’t mean it’s not an achievement to win it, it does though mean that the majority of that achievement lies with the players.

A drastic example, but I don’t rate Derek McInnes as a manager in the slightest. If suddenly Aberdeen came into money though and signed the entire Bayern Munich team, I’d have to fancy them to win the SPFL, in spite of their manager. The players on the park hold the ultimate power in deciding games and championships, but it’s doesn’t mean a manager on a successful team can’t seriously damage their prospects.

I’m not out here bashing Lennon btw. I’ll forever be grateful for everything he’s given our club and I hope he makes it work, but he needs to quit being so stubborn and make some big decisions.

As I’ve clearly stated with the phrase “at this rate” and made clear elsewhere, I want to see Lennon succeed but to do so he needs to make some tough decisions. So don’t go making up your own backstory to accompany your post and attribute it to me, cheers :50:

    We got the 3 points.

There is 1 thing with Lenny just now and that's the fact we don't need to worry about him being offered a 'bigger' job.

You just have to look at what the clubs achieved after they were replaced.

    PSG - CL Final
Bayern - CL Winners and the best team on the planet

We replaced Deila and went a full season domestically invincible while qualifying for the CL.

Teams can win leagues in spite of their managers.

That says it all. We’ve a manager who’s been punted from Hibs and Bolton and knows this is as good as it will ever get for him and he’s quite young manager for a manager as well.

We should be employing managers who have teams all over Europe monitoring their progress and trying to poach them.

At this moment our performances are ok par with the end of the Ronny days.

Just getting over the line against far inferior opponents. Lennon has had much much more money to spend than Ronny did and he was hounded out in the end

Im not sure what you mean by 'making up a back story' but we can agree we both want Lenny to succeed. This should really go without saying but there are certain users on here that said at the time he was appointed that Lennon should not have been named manager and are determined to be proved correct even if thats to the determent of Celtic. Its pathetic absolutely * pathetic.

Your initial post is an exercise of you putting words in my mouth and creating a picture which simply doesn’t fit what I’ve said. I’ve never said Lennon is a terrible manager or that we should be getting rid of him, far from it. What I have said is that he needs to be brave enough to make the big decisions. In my opinion if he doesn’t do that, he’s negligently jeopardising our chances of success this season.

I wasn’t delighted when Lennon was appointed as I felt it was a backwards step, but from day one he’s had my full support and credit where it’s due (as I’ve said plenty times on here) he’s done a great job in his first year and a half back. Even taking away everything he put up with in his first stint at manager, he deserves every Celtic supporter’s full respect and gratitude for picking up the reigns when the rat bolted in a situation which was almost a hiding to nothing.

For what it’s worth I agree with your suggestion that a lot of our fans are spoilt and have unrealistic expectations which lead to them almost never being happy. I’m certainly not one of them though.

I’ll never have anything but massive respect for Lenny and I’ll never have a bad word to say about him, but should he currently be doing a better job? In my opinion, yes. Should he get a chance to do so? In my opinion, without a shadow of a doubt.

Fair play mate, I cant disagree with anything you've said here. Id say we're both seeing the current situation in a fairly similar way. At the end of the day we all want one of the biggest seasons in our history to end with 10 in a row, a certain section of the Celtic support continually having a go at the manager is not helping anyone.

Again the fact that successors do better with teams isn't proof that a League can be won in spite of a manager.

Unless you believe that we could win the League without a manager (and Juventus, PSG, Bayern)? Which is the hun patter used to discredit our 9 in a row.

It’s pretty simple. A manager can be out of his depth and be awful tactically but because he’s got players that are levels above anything else in the league then the team have won a title in spite of their manager.

Couldn’t give a * what Huns say about 9 in a row to be honest.
