Yup but that was way down on Lenny’s list though because of price.

If Van Dijk cost more than the £1.5m that was dished out on him he would never have been at us.

    Which is shocking.

Gotta be honest, I really do miss him. Almost feel bad because certainly in his final season I had kinda turned against him a bit.

Let's not forget some of the reasons he left will still exist in terms of the board and our inability to strengthen the team properly.

    Again, I get that.

But the flip side of that is that model worked for Lenny the past few seasons beforehand.

It did but it took a few years for him to bring it all together, he should have been backed more.

Though, people must also remember that nostalgia does mask a lot of things. Our performances in the 13-14 CL group stages were pretty woeful. While in Rodgers time here our performances against THEM as well as the results have been a * of a lot better (though Lennon took over in completely different circumstances).

Rodgers is good at getting good players to play exciting attacking football when he has them at his disposal and when things are going well. While Lennon is probably better at getting a group of players to be hard to beat and almost play above themselves even if they style can be a bit dull at times.

I honestly loved Lenny’s teams football. Far from dull from me, some of the movement between Stokes, Hooper and Commons was * unreal.

And ye know what, I can remember we went through a dull patch and you know what he did, and this is really amazing just now, he changed the * shape and style of the team to a diamond and this happened...

Spanked Motherwell as well that week becuse of it.

True and i get that and i stated above that i wasn't too disappointed when he went the first time.......i got the feeling it had run its course, especially with these * at the helm doing their usual and no backing the guy!!!

This guy is now a FAR better manager than the man that left us, in my opinion!!

If Rodgers goes i'd like us to be a bit more ambitious than Lennon or Clarke tbh, no disrespect to Lennon but there was a lot of * football in his time in charge as well and some really awful results at Hampden especially, not to mention he was pumped by a mccoist huns team twice.

He had a far better record in Europe than Rodgers but his side still got battered in his last CL campaign and scraped past karagandy in the qualifiers when he had to sell his best players and I highly doubt after failing at Bolton and ending up in the championship with Hibs he's going to come back and have more clout than the last time, which means more fallouts with Lawwell.

Obviously that was a great piece of business but the £1.5m gambles fail most of the time as shown by many in recent years. Letting Ledley go and replacing him with Johansen wasn't exactly great business either.

Same old * from the board as always. To not build on a position of strength for the 3rd time in 15 years is unacceptable.

Ledley wouldn't take the deal, it happens.

Johansen won the POTY in his debut season...

If rodgers leaves before 10IAR and thats a big IF, Neail Lennon wont b our next manager. Itll be Roy Keane or Henrik Larson. When they here offered the job, it was dodgey times but with the feel good factor about now and what Rodgrs did, them 2 will now jump at the chance. But i dont see BR leaving before the big 10. We will have a run for our money in these next few years but well get over that line in a few years for 10IAR.

I think it's widely accepted that Hibs have been one of the most entertaining and free scoring teams of recent seasons. Definitely far from dull football.

I’d have Delia or Mowbray back before getting Roy Keane

Roy Keane is the biggest plastic hardman ever to walk the earth.

A shitebag and a charlatan with as much tactical knowledge as a badger walking through a busy motorway.

I’d rather we folded than have Keane.
