This is the kind of post I really don't understand. A 'nose-dive' was reaching the Champions League Group stages despite losing Hooper and Wanyama in the Summer, and then losing just one game in the League campaign.

That 'nose-dive' is still a huge improvement on what we've done under the current manager.

And yet you suggest you'd rather take a Hartley, or a Hughes, or an Archibald before you had Lennon back? Why?

If Lennon was backed by the board and given money to spend on quality rather than "projects" then things may have been a whole lot different now.

I personally would love to see a big name manager come in and revolutionise the place but cant see the board paying for that so if thats the case then its gotta be Lennon for me, he has been there and done it all.

Basically he will be having to do the same job he done when he came in after Mowbray.

I'm with Kieran and Dev.. I find the attitude towards Lennon absolutely baffling.

I'm just not a fan of Lennon as a manager, simple.

For me, we got worse under his leadership and for me we woulda still went the same way as we have under Deila.

Actually ain't their records more or less similar? Pretty sure I saw something and it was practically identical.

Each to their own, no matter who comes in I will support them, but I personally don't want to see him back in as I just don't think he's that great a manager.

In what way were they identical? Back to back CL qualifications? Last 16 in the CL? What was it.. 17 domestic games in a row without conceding?

In no way shape or form did we go backwards under Lennon. Do you not remember the shambles he inherited from Mowbray?

The attitude towards Lennon is baffling, he did a fantastic job here. I wanted him back initially but now Im not so sure, the sectarian * he has to put up with is very much a distraction and as much as Im for standing up to bigots I dont know if living your life with a security guard by your side is fair. Hes a big boy though and wants the job- its just the circus the vile bigots create that we could do without but when it comes to lennon that wont happen.

Exactly. Our team has been an absolute shambles either side of Lennon's reign.

Unless you are a complete raving lunatic, it is blatantly obvious that Lennon would do a * great job again.

    We went backwards under Lennon!!!!

    * me the silly season has arrived early.

Did the nugget that said that classic have a pulse in the latter days of Mowbray, I'd guess not!

I can almost understand the argument that Lennon might not be able to take us any further than he did when he was here initially, but saying he took us backwards is bullshit. The board did. One of the reasons I was always a bit slower to criticise Deila as well, as I thought people were comparing him to Lennon's Last 16 team which was harsh as with the way the Board have been going, we were never going to maintain that level of success under any manager.

I don't think many people would be able to take us further than Lenny did. Most goals in a CL group stage for a Scottish Club, most points for a Scottish club, last 16...

I wouldn't put the expectation on anyone to top that. Get us into the CL consistently though and I am ecstatic. I think that's what Lenny can achieve.

We need a new, fresh approach. That's not Lenny, sorry..

The fact he's just had a horror show year and a half at Bolton, makes me believe that even more..

I think the new, fresh approach has been an utter failure. What we need is something that works for us and to roll with it.

Lennon's last season showed the beginning of the regression that continued under Deila. Lennon would be a terrible appointment.

The people who don't want Lennon.. Who do you want? Malky Mackay? Paul Lambert? Michael O'Neill?

I'm with you that Moyes or Rodgers would be my first choice.. But I really think they are a pipe dream and Lennon is far from a bad second prize. I would much rather Lennon to the likes of * Mackay.

New, fresh approach isn't necessarily a whole revamp. It's a new man coming in and putting his stamp on thing's. I'd like us to keep some of Ronny's method's and diet, not going back to the old skool cookies and chip's, for example..

We need a guy who will come in and take no messing from the player's and more importantly, the board. Is Lenny that guy? I doubt it..
