That's utter nonsense. He was playing well for a fair chunk of the first half of the season. Certainly better than some of the * we've tried in wide areas this season.

He's been fit for about 2 years, rightly frozen out because he isn't signing a new deal.

It's not nonsense. A couple of good games at the start of the season isn't good enough and when I say good, they only looked good compared to the * he was playing previously and since.

He's regressed as a player at a time when he needed to get better. He's happy to just plod along, do the minimum and pick up a decent wage.

Being marginally better than Stuart Armstrong in wide areas isn't a good enough reason to keep a player. Get him punted and get someone better. It honestly wouldn't be hard.

Exactly what I thought as well.

It's what led me to believe it was a parody. :smiley-laughing002:

Right, I'll start off by saying that I'm not too keen on a Lenny return. BUT, he was a good manager here and this "anyone but Lenny" attitude completely undermines what he did here. We could do a lot worse than Neil Lennon

I find the attitude towards Lennon very surprising. We've shown that finding the right manager for Celtic, he was effectively a rose between two thorns in terms or managerial appointments.

Here is a former Celtic player, captain and manager - and a successful one - who is available and interested in the job, and so many are keen to dismiss him?

    It's baffling.

A guy who took us from a low point and galvanised the atmosphere and good-feeling around the club, guiding us to titles and Champions League football. Such short memories in football.

When you really think about the progress we made under Lenny, in every department, it really is a no-brainer.

He's heavily respected around the club and wouldn't take * from half these wee Jessie's that grace our team.

    * it, has to be Lenny.

    Nah, not for me.

Tbh, after the initial start the squad nose-dived, yeah he wasn't helped by sales, but by fk did he not buy some *.

For the love of *, I don't want him or Keane, I'd take a lucky dip from the SPL before them to be brutally honest.

What do you expect. He has to trawl the lower end of the market for bargains. Are you expecting a manager who can turn every £1million purchase into a great player and a £12million sale? In my mind we got great value for what we spent including over £20million in sales after he left

You would take a lucky dip from Scotland rather than have a CL manager back. :smiley-laughing002:

    You win today's award.
